Charlotte

Brooke stands next to me as the elevator rises, along with numbers above the doors.
The air between us is filled with this weird tension, like we're supposed to be doing something but it's just pure silence right now.

Getting here was a bit of a challenge though.

Once Brooke left my dressing room I waited in mine for a few minutes to prevent any rumors or whispers forming. Once I did leave though, it seemed as if most of the staff had already left and nobody batted an eye once I exited.

I then made my way back out of the building and called my driver and gave him the address of where Brooke's place was located.

Turns out she lived right in the city, and her place was in a fancier neighborhood as expected for sure.
So once I arrived at her place and my driver dropped me off I had quickly texted Brooke, notifying her that I just got there.

She then helped me get through the security guard and then led me to the elevator, which is where we are now.

It was a bit challenging, knowing someone could be watching us or someone in that lobby could've easily recognized us. But it felt so secretive and it made me feel something, to be doing this with Brooke. It was fun, to say the least.

"And we are here." I hear the sound of Brooke's voice, snapping me out of my thoughts and bringing my focus to her.
"Did you space out?" She laughs stepping out of the elevator.
"Just a little." I shrug my shoulders, following right behind her.

Once I step out of the elevator the first thing I notice is how wide and fancy the hallway is. Only a few doors filled each side of the hallway, indicating the very few rich people who lived here. It was almost intimidating , the lack of people, it made me question how rich Brooke really is.

"Follow me." She signaled for me to walk beside her.

Once she said that, I quickly sped up to her and continued walking by her side.

As we kept walking down the quiet hallway, our hands slightly brushed against each other and my heart wanted to burst at the slight touch. I tried to keep my composure and I didn't want to act on it, but then I decided to take her hand and hold it.

Brooke stopped in her tracks suddenly and looked down in between us.
"What's wrong?" I asked, tilting my head to the side while smiling the slightest.
"Nothing." She said, lowering her head while chuckling.
"We're almost there, come on." She said as she intertwined her hand with mine, locking our fingers in.

We then continued walking, I could feel the warmth that covered my cheeks.
God, am I really blushing over holding her hand? Someone please save me.

"And, we're here." She stopped in her tracks as we approached the door which was at the end of the hallway.

"Hold on a second, I have to type in my code." She said as she released her hand from mine to type in the keypad on her door handle.

Once she did, a ring from the handle came, signaling that the door was unlocked.

"Once you come in, I have one request that you take off your shoes by the door. Understood?" She stated, looking back at me with the door slightly cracked open.

"Yes ma'am." I joked.

Brooke rolled her eyes before opening the door, allowing me to step in first.

All there was in the entrance was yet another hallway, which was nicely decorated, and at the end of it, I saw a nice classic black piano. I've never been prouder.
