"And then she took me to Washington Square and I thought we were just going to walk around for a bit but when we got there she a blanket and lights set up. And she had got in contact with my security somehow and they were all there even though she makes me feel so safe. Nothing like how I felt with Joe ever. And then she started to ramble and I just kissed her and oh my god when I tell you it was the best kiss I've ever had I mean it Blake. She picked me up and oh my gosh she's so strong like she held me up for several seconds."
Blake Lively couldn't contain her smile as her best friend rambled on and on about her first date with Emmaline Decatur. It was refreshing to see Taylor speak on somebody with this tone of passion and happiness.
"And then what happened after that? I mean the pictures that broke the internet look pretty romantic." Blake was truly invested, but she also wanted to continue hearing her friend speak in this tone. She missed this Taylor.
"We laid down on the blanket and she taught me all about the constellations."
"Taylor she sounds like a dream come true."
"Blake. She. Is. I can't get enough of her. Like she is intoxicating to a whole other level. I'm trying so hard to not obsess but she is literally perfection in a human body." Taylor took a break to sip at her Mimosa.
"Invite her to our kickback tomorrow."
"Is that like I don't know, too soon? We just went out yesterday."
"Ask her Tay. The worst she could say is she's busy, or no."
"Exactly. She could say no."
"She won't."
"Okay I'll text her now." Taylor pulled out her phone and opened her Messages. Clicking on Emmaline's contact, she sent the younger girl a text.
'Hey so Blake is having a little kickback tomorrow with some of our close friends and I would love it if you could come. Even if it's just for a little bit.'
Taylor, once again, wasn't expecting a fast response, but just as she was about to turn off her phone, Emmaline texted back.
'I have practice till six. I can for sure come after though if that's okay?'
"What'd she say?"
"She said she has practice, but can come after." Taylor said with a smile.
"Perfect!"
Taylor was sitting in her chair, sipping slowly at a glass of white wine by the fire, talking to Sophie, when she felt her phone buzz. Looking at it, she blushed. Emmaline was waiting outside.
"Emmaline's here."
"Go get her." Sophie said, grinning for her best friend. Taylor nodded, setting down her phone and wine glass. She walked around the pool and entered Blake's luxurious, but homey house. When Taylor opened the front door, her eyes softened and her heart grew ten times bigger (if that's even possible).
Emmaline stood there, hair still wet from her shower, holding two bouquets of white roses.
"My mother used to say it was polite to offer flowers to the host, but I couldn't help myself." Emmaline extended to bouquet to Taylor, to which Taylor leaned up and placed a soft kiss on Emmaline's lips. Taylor caught on to Emmaline's use of past tense when speaking of her mother, but decided to not even comment on it. They were in the early stages of whatever was going on between them.
"Come on." Taylor latched onto Emmaline's arm, dragging her in the house. Emmaline looked around the gorgeous house. It smelt wonderful too.
Taylor placed her bouquet of roses in an empty vase in the center on the granite island.
