The next month went by rather fast, but the memories made within said month, were timeless. Taylor continued attending every soccer game she could, traveling around the country watching her girlfriend play in a series of friendlies leading up to the team leaving for Germany.
The two also took another step in their relationship, meeting Andrea and Scott Swift.
"I'm a golf fan but I've heard all about your talent. I've even been watching the games ever since Tay told me to." Taylor blushed slightly, sipping her water.
"Well Mr. Swift you're always welcome to attend a game. I can get you a skybox with Tay. They really have perfect views of the field." Andrea smiled at Emmaline's response to Scott. She looked over a Taylor, who was watching her girlfriend speak with a smile.
"And when do you leave for the World Cup?" Andrea chimed in
It was currently mid-September, meaning Emmaline left in about a month.
"A month. We fly over a few weeks early to become accustomed with everything over there. The time difference, the food, everything."
"Makes enough sense. Are you nervous?"
"Oh very. I try not to show it but I get nervous before every game, and now I'm playing in front of millions of people." Taylor knew exactly how the girl felt, the couple experiencing several of the same feelings. Getting in front of millions of people demanding you to perform, it's a nerve-wracking experience.
"Scott was talking about attending your first game against, Scott who is it?"
"Columbia. Right?" Scott looked to Emmaline who was smiling.
"Yes sir."
"What did I say about the sir. Makes me feel old Emmaline." Emmaline chuckled softly, nodding her head towards Scott.
Meeting Andrea and Scott wasn't the end of it though. Adeline Decatur also wanted to meet her sister's new lover, only hearing about the two through the tabloids. Similar to Andrea.
"So is it so hard to text your sister that you're seeing Taylor Swift?!"
"Actually yes. It is. How do you explain to your Taylor Swift loving sister that out of no where you're dating her?"
"A text would've been nice!"
Taylor watched the two sisters bicker over coffee, smiling slightly.
"Okay my fault."
"Anyways Taylor, why my sister?" Emmaline rolled her eyes, pushing Adeline slightly. "What?"
"It's a good question Em." Taylor said to her girlfriend, smiling. "We have so much in common and we connected instantly."
"I'm just perfect is what she's trying to say." Emmaline added, Taylor rolling her eyes, but nodding after.
But besides meeting Adeline, and meeting Taylor's parents, the month was calm and relaxed. The couple spent almost every day with each other, and the days that they couldn't, they called at least twice.
Both were extremely busy, but they moved their schedules around for each other.
Both girls now sat in Taylor's apartment, watching Friends on the television. Taylor was laying down, her legs on top of Emmaline's lap.
"I'm going out with some of my friends tonight. You can tag along if you want." Emmaline broke the comfortable silence, looking over at her girlfriend.
"What friends?"
"Kendall, Kylie, some of their friends who you might not know."
"I don't know." Was all Taylor could say. This shocked Emmaline because the singer was usually down to do whatever, no matter who it was with or where it was.
