I was rushing to find my mom. She had left me to shop at some store, and now our plane was ready to board. I had everything I needed. My ticket, suitcase, camera, myself, and phone. But no Mom.
It was like the feeling when you're at the store, and they leave for some reason to get something else. And it's like time and the cashier is speeding up and staring you DEAD in the eyes to make you scared.
I rang her phone. No answer.
I did NOT want to run around like a lost puppy and start screeching for my mother. So I had two options. Go back and board the plane, praying she makes it on time, or two. Walk to some cop and cry that I lost my mom like a little kid.
After the second call, I decided to leave her a voicemail and be on my way.
I began to run, rushing through a bunch of people.
"Scuse me-Sorry-Coming through-Pardon me!"
Eventually, some big beefy dude knocked me pretty hard, causing me to trip over my suitcase and bump into someone.
I was sure my face was gonna splat right into that germy ground millions of people walked on, but someone yanked me right up.
It had to be the person I bumped into.
When I got a good look at him, he was...Well who am I kidding he was really REALLY cute.
I was face to face with a boy my age, in front of a bunch of people! I was certain I caused a scene.
"Hey miss," he chuckled. "You should be a lot more careful." He smiled as I stumbled over my words, quickly leaning off of him.
"Hey!" A man boomed from behind us. I turned and yelped, nearly flying back into the safety of mistory boy.
"Tell your girlfriend to watch where she's going! She trampled over my foot!"
I blushed, my face way hotter than before.
"I'm sorry sir, she's just a little clumsy. But she's really sorry. Right?" I was shocked when he didn't deny it, or correct the guy.
The boy put his hands on my shoulders. I nodded.
"I'm sorry about your shoes!"
The guy grumbled, turning away saying something about how the youth has no manors etc etc.
The boy turned to me, laughing. "Gee. I wonder who pissed in his coffee this morning?"
"Maybe the girl who nearly knocked it over." I said sheepishly.
The boy studied me for a minute, making me jittery. Trust me, if you magically bumped into a really hot dude and he was looking at you like a piece of art, you'd be really nervous too!
"I'm Walker by the way." He finally said, breaking the silence that felt like forever.
"Y/n."
"Cool name."
"Thanks."
I didn't realize it, but we had been staring at each other again. But it wasn't awkward, and it must've been for a while. Walker opened his mouth to say something, but a voice yelled my name.
It was my mom, running over with a bag full of God knows what.
"I'm sorry honey! There's just so much intresting stuff. I was only looking for the bathroom. I swear!"
I playfully rolled my eyes. "It's always just the bathroom." I grabbed her wrist to tug her away so we can get back in line to get on our plane, but she stood in place.
"Who's this fella you're hiding?"
If I could blush I knew it was visible now.
"I'm Walker. Your daughter ran into me."
"O-On accident!"
My mom looked him up and down. "You're a handsome kid. Traveling alone? Single? My daughters about your age-"
"MOM!"
This was so embarrassing, but Walker didn't seem to mind.
"Yeah actually. On my way to meet some friends in Cali."
"My mom yanked her wrist from me and linked an arm with Walkers. "Are you on p/n/y(plane near you)?"
"Why yes I am."
My mom patted his hand. "Good, we can all get more acquainted."
They walked past me, Walker giving me a wink while my mom babbled away, leaving me with her suitcase and my own luggage.
I watched them in disbelief.
My mom was trying to get her a son in law BRIGHT AND EARLY.
I kicked at the ground, cursed under my breath, and took up as much of our things. Trudging along behind him.
This was gonna be a lonnnng flight.
PT. 2????
