Before Stu could answer, Tatumn, whom
they honestly both forgot was there got a call on her flip phone. She answered it.

The other line said nothing at first. "Hello?" She said, "Um," the other line shuffled."Tate, get home," the feminine voice said. "What? Why?" Tatum said, confused. "Just hurry." The line hung up, not giving her any time to answer.

"Who the hell was that? Are you just gonna fucking bail on us like Sid and Randy?" Billy said irritated, gradually getting more mad. "It was my sister," she answered. "The hell could she want?" Stu butted in, "I don't know, but I need to go." She pushed out of Stus grip and left.

"Now you made her mad, man!" Stu complained, "What if she breaks up with me because of your bitching?" He said. Billy was quiet for a moment. "Sorry." He said very quietly, "What was that?" Stu taunted, "I'm not saying it again now come on fuckface," He said, fully disregarding his question as if it was never asked started to open the drivers door,"And stop leaning on my fucking car," He said irritated. Stu rolled his eyes but complied and got in.

Billy started the car and started driving, but then something hit Stu. "Wait, where are we going," he said, "The lake, obviously do you have shit for brains?" He said, his eyes flicking to stu for a second. "Why though, wait do you think they did it on purpose? The group isn't here, and they all said-"

Billy cut him off.

"Do you want to go or not?" He said a bit threatening. "It's still hot out, and the air conditioner in my house broke," he said less tense as if he didn't just basically threaten Stu. "Oh, okay," Stu complied, not wanting to get on billys nerves.

While he sat in the passenger seat, he thought about how Billy said sorry. He almost never says sorry, not even to his own best friend. Yet he said it in one of the most insignificant moments, even on his aunts funeral, whom he knew very well, Billy didn't give a single shit? Was there something going on in his head, where there were feelings he was hiding? He needed to know. But that didn't mean he was going to ask. He couldn't risk someone thinking he was one of those gays

No, he would never be one. Ever. I mean, he was dating Tatum, the hottest chick in school, that alone was enough proof.

He snapped out of his thoughts as he felt the car turn at the familiar turn. He looked out the window. His house? "Billy, i thought we were going to the lake?" He said, confused,"So you're getting in the pool with your clothes on?" He said, proving a point. "I mean, I wouldn't have minded," he said half jokingly as he got out of the car, "God, Macher," Billy said, rolling his eyes, "Do you even know what hygiene is? Actually, no, don't even answer that," he said sarcastically.

He snatched the keys from Stus hand before he could do anything, "I can't even believe you." He glared at Billy, but Billy glared right back as he unlocked the door, letting them in.

They walked in, Billy turned the light on.
After about 45 minutes, they packed everything they needed for their trip to the lake.

"Finally," Stu complained as they got in the car, "It's been like an hour!" Billy turned towards him, "Shut up and buckle up," he said coldly but slightly jokingly. "Hey, that rhymed," Stu said, "Oh my fucking god can you ever be serious, I swear," Billy said. "You're always so mean to me," Stu said in a mock pout. Billy just rolled his eyes and started the ignition.

About 15 minutes into the drive, Stu looked at Billy seriously, "Do you.. Do you think they left on purpose, the group, I mean," he pauses for a second to think, "Randy always shows up for stuff like this,  Sid never said anything to us except Tatum and Tate also left,"

(A/N, if you're confused because Billy was the one who mentioned it last chapter, Tatum told Billy before Stu showed up, Billy mentioned this while they were packing.)

Billy's eyes flicked to him for a second, and he said, "I mean, it's a possibility," he stated, "But who needs them anyways? We got us." He said confidently, "Yeah, I guess you're right. " Stu smiled

Just us. He thought.
