"So." Stu started. "'So what?" Billy threw back. "So why did you ask me to be here?" He answered, looking at the ceiling still.

Billy looked at stu, "Well, it's gonna be pretty hot tomorrow, so I thought maybe the group could go down to the lake," he explained. "And that lake is?" Stu drew on, "I decided we should go down to that lake by that one fishing shop by your house since its pretty cold down there," he answered quickly, pointing in the direction he was talking about as though they were right by it. Stu nodded. There was an awkward silence.

"Why didn't you just tell Tate that while on the phone?" Stu asked, breaking the silence. "Because if you weren't going, then it wouldn't be worth my time!" Billy answered as if it was obvious, Stu looked at him for a second in the corner of his eye, feeling a blush on his face for a second. "So, are you going?" He asked, "Sure," Stu replied.

The next day was the day, but since it was Friday, they still had school the entire day. The words Billy said had echoed through Stus mind.

"Because if you weren't going, then it wouldn't be worth my time,"

"Because if you weren't going, then it wouldn't be worth my time,"

"Because if you weren't going, then it wouldn't be -"

"Stu Macher!" That fucking teacher, he ought to get killed some day. Stu wouldn't feel sorry for him either. "Sir?" He answered lazily. Most of the class was looking at Stu now, but to be honest, he didn't care about them. "Class is not a time for rest. This is important to learn," His math teacher said, "That's probably what your P.E. teacher said but I think you were better off sleeping 'cause the class clearly didn't work for you," He muttered back, still half asleep.

Whether his teacher ignored him or just didn't hear him will forever be a mystery. As the day went on, what Billy said kept torturing Stu on what that might've meant. Luckily, that wasn't the case once the school day was over. It was Friday, the day the group was meant to go to the beach.

Stu walked to the middle of the parking lot, where they were supposed to meet up. Billy and tatum were already there.

"GUYS!" He shouted across the parking lot. A few people looked at him, but he ignored them nonetheless. He ran over to them.

"Hey Stu," Billy said, Tatum smiled and gave him a big hug, Stu returned it, half assed. "I missed you," She said, "uh. Yeah, I miss you too!" He said with a fake smile. He put his arm around her waist and then turned to Billy, "So, Billy," he started, "What?" Billy said, sounding annoyed as always, " Where are Randy and Sid? Sid is usually always early for these types of things," he said. Billy scoffed, "Sid couldn't make it cause a family emergency or some shit, and Randy is just Randy. You don't know if he's gonna show up until wither he does, or it's 2 hours past the meet time," he ranted, rolling his eyes.

Before Stu could answer, Tatumn, whom
they honestly both forgot was there got a call on her flip phone. She answered it.
