[Ayaansh's POV...]
It's been 2 days since the hearing.
Isha doesn't reciprocate anything but she also doesn't push me away.
That's alright to be honest because I think she is melting slowly.
"Hi dad." I said as I looked at my father as he was sitting on a chair inside the cell.
No emotion on his face except for shame.
"How is Karma treating you now?" I asked him, my words were like salt on his wound.
"I hope you and Ishani never stay happy." He gritted out.
Where is that fatherly love which was oozing out for the past one week now?
"We will stay happy, you don't have to worry about it. I'm here for some work." I said and taped my fingers on my collar slightly straightening the crisp lines of my suit.
"What do you want now?" My father spoke through gritted teeth.
"I want you to release a public Statement letter and tell everyone that you murdered Aria. My Isha is facing backlash because of you." I said throwing a paper towards him.
Ishani and me were facing backlash after dad's arrest because he is still a saint in media's eyes.
"I'm not doing anything." He spat out.
What a nonsense conversation is this.
"I'm not asking you. I'm telling you. Either you do it willingly or else I have a lot of tricks up my sleeve." I moved my coat away slightly giving him the clear picture of the gun cladded on my waistband.
He glared at me.
Yeah you are not scary dad. Shut up.
He took the paper and obediently started writing the public Statement which needs to be released.
After he was done he threw it towards me and I opened it to see the weird handwriting but the exact words which I needed.
I passed it to my lawyer who put it inside his file and we made our way outside the room.
I signed the entry record register and sat inside my car.
Within 15 minutes I was outside my home.
While passing through the living room I saw Dadisa talking to one of the staff members. She looked at me but immediately looked away.
She didn't talk to me much after dad's arrest. Dadisa thinks that I'm a bad son.
Only if he was a good father.
Ignoring her glares,I made my way towards my room and opened the door to see the most peaceful sight ever.
Isha was scrolling through her phone with a small smile on her pretty face.
When she heard me closing the door she looked up and her eyes glittered a little.
"You got the statement?" She asked me and I nodded taking off my coat and shirt before slipping a T shirt on.
Isha was still smiling at her phone.
She was mad at me because I wasn't letting her get off the bed. This woman got sick as soon as we got out of the hearing room. She got dizzy and almost fainted 3 days ago. The doctor told her to not take stress but my madam is too persistent to work all the time.
"What happened?" I asked throwing myself beside her on the bed making her 'tsk' as I ruined the pillow setting.
"Kuch nahi." Liar.
