[Ayaansh's POV...]

I laid down on bed of my penthouse in London. Sleep almost overtook me but I decided to call my wife first before going to sleep.

Video calling her, I didn't even have to wait when she answered in the second ring. I saw her adjusting the camera before a smile took over her features before she bombarded me with questions.

"Did you reach the hotel? Is the place nice? Did you eat something? Don't go to bed hungry okay? And rest. Don't overwork yourself. I know you get headaches in new places so I put in some painkillers in the front pocket-" My woman continued blabbering while I gazed at her face.

She is so pretty. Almost unreal. When the hair fell on her face slightly she aggressively pushed the strand away an continued to talk to me. Her eyes literally shone when she looked at me and smiled. My pretty woman.

A sigh escaped my lips when I looked at her pretty face and it almost felt like I fell in love with her even more.

"Tum meri baat sun bhi rahe ho?" She frowned looking at me.

"Tumhari baat sunne ke alawa main aur kuch karta bhi hoon?" I could see the redness of her cheeks as she looked away from me.

"See, Snowy wants to meet you!" She giggled and picked up Snowy who looked in the camera and tilted her head. Cute!

"Hi Snowy... I know you are having a lot of fun without me so don't act all innocent now." I glared at the innocent looking puppy who barked once and jumped off my Isha's lap.

"Acha, You should rest now. Eat something before going to bed." She smiled at me and moved forward to hang up but I interrupted her before.

"Isha?"

"Haan?"

"I love you meri jaan." I smiled at her. A full-blown smile.

"I love you more. Bye." She cut the call and I was left craving to see her smile again.

I fell back on the bed and stared at the ceiling realizing that tomorrow I will be closer to my goal.

And right now I only have one goal.

Revenge.

"How long are we going to stand here sir?" My secretary asked me as we stood at a distance from Shitij's temporary house.

"Till everyone in his neighborhood falls asleep." It wasn't that hard. In this small street their were hardly 5 houses and the people living in it barely came out of their houses.

I've spent the last five days examining his behaviour and how he is surviving here. The people of this neighborhood close their doors and windows by 9 pm. The lights fell shut by 10. And there is utter silence by 10:30 pm.

Nobody cares about what is going on in their neighbour's house. They won't care unless someone dies.

And Shitij is dumb enough to build the walls of his house completely sound proof.

Well, it's beneficial for me.

At 10:45, I saw the lights of Shitij's house switch off, except for the bedroom light.

I looked over to Krish-my secretary- and gestured him to wait outside for me.

I took out the keys from my jacket pocket and unlocked the door. The click echoed in the silence and a smirk spread over my lips.

It was an old dusty house. Just minimal furniture here and there but the smell was exactly similar to rusty iron.

It was almost uncomfortable to stand in that place but when I opened another door, I found out the CCTV surveillance camera's operating systems.

A sigh left my mouth at his stupid behaviour to keep these computers right next to the entrance.

Moving forward I took out a pendrive from my pocket and inserted it in the main computer.

Within five seconds the whole screen was filled with error warning and then the cameras switched off.

I heard footsteps coming downstairs and then Shitij's gruff voice "who the hell is in my house?"

"Me." I made him very much aware of my presence.

And when he turned around to look at me, the colour drained from his face.

"Hi Shitij. Long time no see." He moved his steps back and tried to open the main door but it was locked. I asked Krish to lock it from outside.

"What are you doing here?" Wow. He is actually dumb.

"I just came to meet my brother-in-law. Is that a sin?" I took one step towards him but he ran and pushed past me to his bed room upstairs. Too bad.

If he runs, I'm gonna chase him but I will find him even from the depths of hell.

I walked upstairs in slow steps while whistling a random tune. Rolling my sleeves up on my forearms, I ran a hand through my hair before taking out a pocket knife.

This is going to be fun.

I opened the door of his room.

The faint smell of alcohol and smoke filled my nostrils as I looked around his room.

There was nothing much, just a bed, a side table, A cupboard and another door which I assume is the washroom.

"You know, if you come out right now you might have a less painful death?" I said even if I could hear his ragged breathing knowing that he was hiding inside the cupboard.

"Fine, you want to do this the hard way then?" I switched off every single light inside the room and the next second I heard a faint creak from inside the cupboard.

That's when Shitij realised that he was caught and ran out of the cupboard and lunged forward to attack me.

I sidestepped him and the next second there was a knife in his stomach, the exact same way him and my father killed my son.

He groaned and fell on the ground clutching his stomach and then I knelt down beside him and held his jaw in a painful grip before taking the knife out of his stomach.

"You know, cowards like you..." I trailed off as I made a deep cut on his cheekbone with the knife "don't deserve the throne or the crown."

I held his hair in a painful grip " and you don't even deserve to have a peaceful death."

I dragged him out of the house as I saw the main door opened this time and threw him out of the front porch.

The bodyguard who was outside put a duct tape on his mouth and tied his hands before shoving him inside the car.

"Are you going to kill him now?" He asked me.

"No. My wife deserves to kill him." I replied and got into the car.
