Ruka and Pharita were best friends since they were little kids. They did everything, and I mean literally every, together—played games, did homework, and even shared their secrets. Their favorite place was a small, cozy café near their school. This café had the best chocolate chip cookies and hot cocoa they had ever tasted. Every Friday, they would rush there after school, sit at the same corner table, and talk about their dreams and plans.

One sunny afternoon, Pharita came to the café with a small, lavender box in her hands. She looked excited, her eyes twinkling with anticipation.

"Unnie, I got us something special!" Pharita said, her voice bubbling with excitement.

Ruka looked curious. "What is it, Rita?"

Pharita handed her the box, looking excited. "Open it and see!"

Ruka opened the box and gasped. Inside was a beautiful necklace with a half-heart pendant. The pendant had the words "You're My Person" engraved on it. Pharita wore the other half around her neck.

"This way, even if we're apart, we'll always be connected," Pharita explained, her smile wide and bright.

Ruka's eyes filled with happy tears. "Wow, Pharita! This is so special. I love it. I'll wear it every day."

The girls hugged tightly, their half-heart necklaces shining in the sunlight, symbolizing their strong friendship. They spent the rest of the day at the café, enjoying their cookies and cocoa, and talking about their future.

But soon, everything changed. Pharita's family had to move to another city because her father got a new job. The day she left was full of tears and hugs at their favorite café. They clung to each other, not wanting to let go.

"Promise we'll stay best friends forever? Even if you're not here?" Ruka whispered, her voice shaking.

"Forever. I promise," Pharita replied, touching her necklace. "Remember, unnie, you're my person."

Ruka watched Pharita leave, her heart heavy with sadness. She held her necklace close, feeling the connection to her best friend. Every Friday, she continued to visit the café, sitting at their table, remembering the good times they shared. The café felt empty without Pharita's laughter and stories.

Years went by, and high school brought new friends and experiences, but Ruka always felt a bit lonely without Pharita by her side. She often thought about her friend and wondered if Pharita still remembered their promise and their favorite café.
