The Nutticus Gameshow

(It's the same day as the previous two chapters but around 8am rn)

Jay's POV:

I woke up tired and gross from sleeping on the air mattress and then falling off of it in a basement. Yeah, yeah, I know I'm a gameshow host, so why am I sleeping in a basement? Well uh- I don't exactly have a lot of money right now. I kinda blew it on something-but that doesn't matter right now.

I got up and walked upstairs. My roommate was passed out on the couch and looked like shit. I don't know how we ended up living here together, I guess we were both out of money. He was some drummer for a band I've never heard of. He called himself 'Tré' and he thought he was cool. He was mid I guess, mid at a lot of things, not his drumming though. He was usually up all night playing and I couldn't fucking sleep. I ignored him and went to the bathroom. I got ready for the day and went to get breakfast from the kitchen. 

(Authors note: yes I know tré is not a character in ninjago but I added him anyway, who gives a shit💀)

"Is there anything good here? Any real food?" I rolled my eyes and muttered. "Can't wait till I get my paycheck and I'll get out of this shithole." I stood there and thought for a moment. I could just move in with Kai and Nya or Cole or Lloyd. What was I doing here? I guess I'll call up Kai.

3rd person/no POV:

Jay called Kai and it took a few rings for him to answer. "Hey uh," Kai yawned, "what do you need Jay? It's 8am, too early for me. My job starts at 12:30, my call hours are-"

"Kai I really need a better place to stay. My roommate keeps me up all night and I think he's having a threesome with two other guys, he always brings them over," Jay told Kai.

"Ok, uhm, do you want me to shoo them away or.. I mean I'm not a realtor," Kai asked confused and tired.

"No, I need a place to stay. Can I stay at your house? It's just for a week or two, just till I can get my own place. I won't be a bother I swear, you don't even have to feed me." Jay begged.

"Actually, about that..." Kai laughed nervously, "so I kinda got kicked out of the house for two weeks because I totaled my dad's car and he sent me to Flavortown for two weeks as punishment."

"Wait what? What is Flavortown- ya know what never mind. So you're actually accepting your punishment and doing it?" Jay laughed. 

"No, I'm crashing at Lloyd's place, he let me stay there and his mom doesn't think anything of it. She thinks I'm tutoring him or some stupid shit. All he does is sit in his room and watch tv and bedrot. I've also been stealing his car to drive around. He has never noticed." Kai explained, "So in conclusion, don't ask me if you can stay at my house because I'm not supposed to be there right now."

"I guess I'll just ask Nya then. I mean I can't stay at Lloyd's cause you are, I don't even know where Zane lives, and Cole's dad would probably beat the shit out of me if I crashed there."

"Nya would say yes, especially if it's you. Don't you guys have something going on if you know what I mean?" Kai added.

"We do? Well I kinda liked her but-"

Kai cut Jay off, "yeah she definitely likes you, especially after some guy rejected her a few days ago or so. You guys should like kiss or something."

"Oh uh, ok. I guess I'll talk to you later, bye!" Jay hung up. 

He packed up all his stuff and left without saying anything to his roommate. He took his car and drove to 7eleven for a kind of decent breakfast, better than whatever shit they had back at the house. 

It was around 9:30 and Jay decided to head over to Nya's house. He knocked on the door (ignoring the ring doorbell) and immediately Nya and Kai's mom answered. "What so now your crawling back-" she stopped herself, "oh hi Jay" she said warmly. She was probably expecting someone else. "Do you need something?"

"I was wondering if I could speak to Nya?" Jay asked hopeful.

"Yes absolutely, one moment." Maya turned around and called Nya, "Nya! There's a cute boy at the door and he wants to speak with you."

Nya came in the doorway and Maya left. 

"Oh hi Jay!" She exclaimed.

"Hi Nya, uh I was wondering if I could crash-or uh stay at your place for a week or two. It's just until I can get my own place and I won't be a bother I swear, you don't even half to feed me, I-" Jay got cut off.

Nya pulled him inside. "Welcome to our house!" she cheered. Then she kissed Jay like it was casual for them. Jay looked surprised but in a good way. "Ok I'll show you to our room!" 

A bit later:

Jay's POV:

So I guess I'm staying at Nya's house for a bit. And we're gonna be sharing a room apparently. That's ok because I didn't really wanna sleep in Kai's room. I didn't even wanna go in there💀.

And her parents seem fine with me being here. Maybe it's because they think we're dating, which  I guess we are now? I can't tell. 

It's around 3:00 now. I should better get to the studio for my show. I got the stuff I needed, said bye to Nya and left.

At the studio:

My gameshow, the Nutticus Gameshow had just begun.

"I'm Nutticus, today our competitors will have to get across this dangerous path of obstacles!"

No one actually made it to the end and people just kinda fell on their face while I tried not to laugh.

Then it was over. It gets boring when you do it every day. I got my paycheck though, not enough to get my own place yet but the time will come. 

I went home at around 7:00 and asked Nya if she wanted to go to the park. She agreed and we went for a walk at the park.

3rd person/No POV:

Nya had jumped up onto the railing of the small bridge. She walked across it as her and Jay talked. Jay decided it was a good idea to jump onto the other railing. He started to walk across it but failed and fell off.

Nya smirked trying not to laugh and asked if he was ok. Jay said he was but decided not to get on the bridge railing anymore.
