The next morning, Rin had woken up the the sounds of her alarm. She sat up and stretched her arms. Memories of what had happened the night before came back and she felt oddly sick to her stomach when she remembered how (F/n)’s body looked like after she was beaten. She rushed to the bathroom and hovered over the toilet, gagging a couple of times before her throw-up attempt failed. She sighed shakily before she shook her head and did her normal morning routine. Once she finished, she grabbed her bag and went to open her door. Her hand barely touched the doorknob when she felt a wave of uneasiness. She was hesitant to open the door, and she had no idea what was causing this feeling.

“Rin?!” Ivy called out, “Are you ready for school?”

Rin shook her head and opened the door, ignoring the hesitant feeling that washed over her. She walked into the kitchen and saw her mother and father.

“Good morning sunshine!” Ivy greeted her daughter happily, “How are you feeling?”

Rin shrugged but nodded, noticing (F/n) wasn’t outside yet.

“Rin,” Akuma could sense Rin’s feelings, “Your sister isn’t feeling too good, so she’ll be staying home from school this week,”

Rin’s eyebrows furrowed, “What? Why?”
Akuma shot Ivy a look.

“You know how easily she can get sick,” Ivy explained, “She seemed to have caught something pretty serious, so she’ll be out of commission for a while,”

So her being beaten up means she’s sick,’ Rin realized the discrepancy but ignored it, “Oh, alright,”

“We already called the school,” Akuma told her, “If they ask, just explain she’s sick,”

Rin nodded and waited for her mom to finish her bento before she left for school.

Tsukishiuma and Yamaguchi kept glancing at the clock, wondering if (F/n) was going to make it to school on time. The more they waited, the more they lost hope.
