Chapter 3, Royal Greeting

3rd PoV

Rosaleen’s footsteps echoed softly as she made her way down the hall of the Frostheim house halls, eyes flicking around everywhere she had gone. All she could hear was soft whispers and soft but shocked gasps could be heard. 

“Damn, she’s hot.” 
“Don’t bother, she’s a ghoul.” The whispers seemed to float towards Rosaleen, her eyes flicking to them as she stopped her sharp dark eyes on them as the whispering ceased. 

“Something you wish to say to my face?” She asked, tone calm and sickly sweet as the group collectively gulped. Her eyes danced among the members of the gossiping students, eyes narrowing as she hummed softly and turned on her heel walking away. 

“Rosaleen!” A voice called out loud, making the woman falter slightly in her steps as her eyes flicked lazily towards it. Kaito was making his way to her.

“Good Morning Kaito.” She hummed softly, eyes  watching the blonde as he swooned slightly, She raised her brow at him as it was pretty early for even classes to start. 

“Where are you headed?” He asked and she blew a strand of fiery orange hair from her eyes, as she sighed.

“Going to meet the Captain, so I can understand how the core of this House works. So I can make it in the social circles.” Rosaleen pondered, Kaito stared at her eyes confused as he shook his head furiously.

“You don’t want to meet him, he doesn’t even take visitor’s anyway he’s a total her-” He was cut off by someone clearing their throat, making Kaito jump out of his skin. 

“Finish your sentence Fuji, Jin is what?” A tall man with a pinnacle asked, his cold eyes watching Kaito and flicking towards Rosaleen now.

“Welcome to Frostheim. Ms. Dervila. My name is Tohma Isibashi. I hope everything in your dorm is to your standards?” Tohma asked, reaching politely and pressing respectful peck on her knuckles, taking Rosaleen by surprise. Her brows knitted together as she stared at him quietly nodding, ears a little red from the interaction.

“Unfortunately, Jin is in no visiting mood, you will have to come back later.” He said voice chilling and serious, as he studied Rosaleen as she didn’t stand down.

“Well, He should be awake anyway, you can’t start a good day sleeping in.” Rosaleen quipped, her eyes narrowed and Tohma didn’t respond as soft footfalls caught their attention before they could talk fully.

“Uh… Hi…?” Cara’s soft voice called out, making everyone look at her as she stood nervously.

“I… Uh, came to get Kaito and Luca…” She explained nervously, Rosaleen had turned back to Tohma who had magically vanished. Her eyes flicked around looking for him seeing him slip into a double doored room, her eyes narrowed annoyed as she huffed and turned. 

“May I join?” She asked, her voice sweet but her eyes were pretty annoyed at the situation, but she still held a chipper face at least making Cara relax and nodded slightly.

“Yayyy. Two of my favorite women are on the same walk to the same class.” Kaito swooned and Rosaleen’s brows shot up, looking at Kaito.

“Kaito, did you forget I was coming too.?” Luca’s voice was heard behind them making Kaito let out a yell of exasperation turning to look at Luca. 

“This is taking too long. I am gonna go, see you all in class.” Rosaleen said, making her exit as she left to go, making Kaito yell in desperation. 

“Nooo. Luca, look what you did! You chased Rosaleen away!” Kaito yelled as Rosaleen shook her head as she walked, footfalls confident and her body language calm and cool.
