Rosaleen's PoV
I made my way down the Frostheim hall, chatter and music could be heard as I descended the stairs. My eyes searching the crowd finding who I wanted to mingle, I found Luca, Kaito, and Cara. A soft smile graced my features.

“Hey guys.” I said bowing slightly as I approached fast, weaving around patrons of the party like it was second nature.

“Heyyy. There she is!” I smiled at Kaito who ran over and hugged me, I giggled as I returned the hug with one arm. Looking at the other two.

“Are you feeling better Rose?” Luca asked, approaching me and side hugging me awkwardly and I laughed softly, side hugging him back as I looked at Cara.

“Are you feeling better?” I asked her softly, she nodded slightly, her eyes warm as she hugged me too.

“Congratulations on your first complete mission!” I said happily and they smiled too, nodding in thanks.

“To you as well. Ms. Dervila.” I jumped out of my skin turning towards the voice, seeing Madame Liaison and my eyes widened in shock.

“Suzuran.” I greeted smiling slightly as she hummed softly, winking before looking over the Trio, ruby eyes glowing happily.

“Did Alan treat you well Sweetheart?” Suzuran asked me, my cheeks heated up as I turned slightly upon mention of his name.

“Y-yeah… He uh… Completed the mission whilst I was decommissioned due to an injury I could have stopped…” I said not meeting anyones eyes, I had been beating myself up over it.

“But you did your job, you protected the girls in the basement.” Suzuran said and I looked at her confused.

“Only Ella got out though… What about Ariana?” I asked my sad eyes and the Trio stayed silent.

“She made it. Alan called for reinforcement to go take care of the anomaly and the girl still had a pulse.” She said and my heart stopped in shock, my eyes watering slightly as I let out a soft breath smiling widely.

“Good.” I said, voice cracking slightly, as she smiled and graceful as ever was gone. We watched as she left and Cara hugged me tightly, while Luca patted me on the head and Kaito just teared up.

I was sitting at a table drinking some fruit punch, not really having all the much fun. I didn't quite understand why I was placed in Frostheim, I feel so outta place. But I had to be placed here for a reason, I leaned back in the chair tapping my fingers on the table gently.

“You look bored. Where are your friends?” I heard someone ask, my head turned slightly to look at the person he sat at the same table across from me. I raised my brow in confusion as I studied the person.

“They are dancing and hanging out, not my area of expertise.” I started calmly and shrugged softly.

He hummed softly, nodding as he did so and I raised my brow at him trying to put together who this ghoul was.

“The name is Katuski Kamurai. I am Jin’s brother.” He explained probably reading my confusion all over my features, his hand reaching out to shake mine.

I shook his hand in turn, nodding gently as I spoke.

“Rosaleen Dervila.” I greeted with my own name and he grinned and nodded slightly, his silver eyes gentle and nice as he leaned back and looked around.

“You’re not big on parties are you?” He asked, I shook my head softly.

“Tohma insisted I come.” I grumbled rolling my eyes at his name and Katsuki let out a laugh as he saw my reaction to the vice-captain.
