6 months later

Holy crap. Am I pregnant????

I have the stick on the bathroom counter. I'm so nervous!! "Pregnant? No I can't be!" "Hey sweetheart, I'm going to the store do you need anything??" Asked Stefan. "No angel, actually can you stay for a second? I have to tell you something." I said with a stone in my stomach. "What's wrong amor?" He asked me. "Nothing is wrong, per se. We just need to buy a crib and a car seat and a couple other things." He looked like a deer in headlights. That's his confused face. "I have a bun in the oven" I said with a smile. Still a confused face. "Baby I'm pregnant!" I said with a laugh. "Oh my god, really?! " Stefan exclaimed, his eyes widening with both shock and joy. "Yeah!" I said with a grin. "This is awesome news baby!" He said with a great big smile on his face. "I can't wait to be a dad! " Stefan shouted, scooping me up and twirling me around. Ay mi lindo, he's so cute. Stefan hugged me tightly, his excitement matching mine. The next day we went out to grab groceries, and he could not keep his face normal for the life of him, he had the biggest smile on his face for the entire time. I could tell he was still soaking in the news, beaming with joy as he pushed the cart down each aisle. We encountered my aunt at the grocery store, and he ran up to her, shouting "Shes pregant shes pregnant!" like a lunatic. He was practically bursting with excitement, practically unable to contain the news. She looked at me, asking if thats true and a small nod from me sent her on her knees. "Gracias a dios!" she shouted in the middle of the grocery store. "Tia, estas loca?" i asked her with a smile. "Eres embarassada nina, estoy feliz por ti" she said with a smile. She hugged me tightly, offering her congratulations and well wishes. My cousins all looked at her like she was nuts until i said "im going to have a baby" and that sent them. Jenny was all "Whats its name, are you really!?" like the standard 10 year old-ness, Phoebe just had a smile, Jack smiled and said "congratulations" as a standard 9 year old and the rest of them were just happy cause the rest of their siblings did. When we were done with that fiasco, he grabbed me basically anything i was saying i wanted, so it ended up being gelato, normal ice cream, pretzels, their lemonade, publix popcorn chicken and macaroni and cheese too. I was overwhelmed by his thoughtful gestures and the outpouring of love from my family. First off, hes a dork and secondly he is sweet. We finally made it home, juggling all the groceries and teasing each other about his over-enthusiastic behavior at the store. "I'm just excited to be a dad, my love" he said with a smile. Then I saw something strange on the door. "You will die by the years end" I felt a chill run down my spine as I read the ominous message. "Really? Just like when I was 16? They had to wait for 3 and a half years to do it again? Ellos son estúpidos!" I said tearing the paper to shreds. "Let's just put the stuff away amor, there's ice cream remember?" He said, trying to comfort me. *Yes amor, that's fair. * "now anyway, let's get settled so we can watch tv, aye?" He said with a smile. We got in our pajamas and started up the book of life. "Ay I want my food; hold on" I said as I went to get up. "Nope, no no nope your sitting your booty down amorcito" he said, having me sit by my shoulders. "Ay amor! What was that for?" I said laughing. "You're pregnant, I'm supposed to do stuff for you baby!" He said in the kitchen. *eh should I really be complaining? No, no I shouldn't.*
"I love you so much baby" I said with a smile. Soon enough, 7 months went by.

"Love?? Are you alright?" He asked me from downstairs. My stomach is killing me. Baby Heron, you knock it off. "Yes I'm fine love" I said, pulling on my sweater. Todays the baby shower, I'm so excited!! Baby Heron we get to see if your a boy or a girl today! "I love you, let's get going baby" he said. Anyway, we're still in the society, I've just been busy with work and a new baby on the way. "Hey mom? When did you plan for my baby shower?? Thank you again by the way" I asked my mom. "It's all set for this weekend, darling" mom said, I could hear my sister running around the house and mom has a smile on her face. "That's fantastic, Mom. Thanks for all your help." "I'm even more grateful now that I'm about to be a mom myself," I said, rubbing my belly. I heard her smile across the phone, and said "It's what I'm here for baby, I'm still your mama; even though your gonna be one soon too" The excitement for the baby shower was building, and I couldn't wait to find out if my little Heron was a boy or a girl. When the baby shower came around, I was wearing a white dress, and had pearls, they were my grandmas pearls. "3...2...1..." we counted as we moved the sewing needles to pop the balloon. Pink confetti came out in a hailstorm. We're gonna have a baby girl. The room erupted in cheering and laughter, and I felt a surge of joy cascading through me. "Baby we're gonna have a baby girl!!" I shouted in joy. "Yes, one just like you honey" he said with a smile. We embraced, surrounded by our excited friends and family, all awaiting the arrival of our little Heron. We spent the rest of the day celebrating and sharing stories about our hopes and dreams for our little girl.
