Alchemy: the science of understanding, deconstructing, and reconstructing matter. However, it is not an all-powerful art. It is impossible to create something out of nothing. If one wishes to obtain something, something of equal value must be given. This is the law of equivalent exchange; the basis of all alchemy. In accordance with this law, there is a taboo among alchemists. Human transmutation is strictly forbidden. For what could equal the value of a human soul?
" You're one to talk Colonel. As the commanding officer, you shouldn't have even been on the battlefield."

Chapter #:
Blooming relationships
1916Jeonghan stood in front of his father shocked, after all this time the bastard shows up now?
After everything Rei dealt with, everything they dealt with.
It made Jeonghan happy that Joshua went back so urgently, so he didn't have to see the man Jeonghan despised again.
No amount of built-up guilt the man could feel regarding his happy life could make Jeonghan feel sorry for him and open a line of connection for a possible relationship.
" Hello, Jeonghan..." The man spoke matter-of-factly," You appear to have grown some."
Jeonghan couldn't even look at the man due to that comment, turning away as he bit his tongue to not comment on how many years had passed.
" I spoke with Junghwa." He stated, making Jeonghan look at him slowly," You tried human transmutation."The shock was evident on Jeonghan's face. Yes, Rei knew but it wasn't even her who told him. It was Junghwa. The woman she told, no declared to, that he hated his father and wanted to do nothing with him. And here she was telling that very same man his dark secret.
Rather than target his anger towards the old woman who had actually cared for him he looked away from the man, focusing on a nearby grave as he scoffed out at the man," What makes you think you can show up like this? There's nothing left for you here anymore! Nothing to feel guilty over either!"
" So she told you about that one." Yoongi sighed before fully turning to Jeonghan," But I did notice. Tell me, Jeonghan. What possessed you to burn down my home?"
He couldn't tell if he felt guilty about the fact Yoongi still considered that house his and when they had burned it so not only they could go back, they made it so their father couldn't either. Regardless, he actually offered an explanation," After what happened, we vowed to never turn back... We did it as a symbol of our resolve."
" No, you didn't." Yoongi cut that bullshit off, knowing fully well the full reason. While yes, they felt part of it was that. The whole reason was definitely because of something else as well," You were hiding the memory. You didn't want to be reminded of what you've done... And thought you could erase the memory by destroying the evidence."
Yoongi walked up to Jeonghan to stand right in front of the male, making Jeonghan's breath catch in his throat like he was being scolded.
