"Doc, can I have your number?" I heard a familiar
playful voice from behind me, I turned around to look at the man in the waiting area.

Kakatapos ko lang mag opera ng isang pasyenting natamaan ng ligaw na bala, kulang pa ako sa tulog dahil alas kwatro ng madaling araw ako pinatawag para sa operation, at halos walong oras ang operasyon tapos nandito pa itong abno na ito para mambwesit na naman.

"What are you doing here Xest?" Tanong ko dito ng sumabay itong lumakad sakin, hindi ako huminto at patuloy lang sa paglalakad kaya siya na yung humabol sakin.

"I can't visit your workplace now?" Tanong nito parang nagpapaawa pa ang bwesit kasi sumimangot ito. Xest was slowing his pace kasi ang lalaki ng hakbang niya, mahuhuli ako pag binilisan niya, compared to his stride mine was small, he have long legs, and just one stride from him is compared to two stride for me.

"Wala akong sinabing ganon, pero bakit ka nga ba nandito? Whats your agenda here? I heard that you're busy nowadays kasi may bagong branch ang bar mo sa Pilipinas" I said still not looking at him, I walk inside my office and Xest was tailing me.

I badly need to shower kasi amoy dugo at medisina ako na pinaghalo, and there are also blood staining my lab coat. "You know I always have time for Glyde, siya sana kukulitin ko kaso nasa school pa kaya ikaw nalang" sabi nito habang naka upo sa visitors chair.

"Ginawa mo pa akong second option gago, wag mo kaming bwesitin ng anak ko." Napairap ako sakanya. Xest was the owner of the bar where I got drugged and 'accidentally' got pregnant because of that mistake, I have Xest number that time because we exchange it, nagbigay siya ng calling card at nagbigay din ako sa kanya. That morning I woke up wala akong ibang hingan ng tulong kasi ako lang naman mag isa sa Pinas noon. Klea was here in Seattle that time and so is my parent's, hindi nako nagpasama kay Klea kasi akala ko nandon naman si Lance but damn I caught him cheating that very day and he's the reason why I got drunk and 'accidentally' got pregnant.

I didn't regret Glyde being born in this world and it didn't cross my mind to get rid of her when I found out I was pregnant, Glyde is the best thing that ever happened to me and it's all because I got drugged and did it with some random dude. I love my daughter with all of me and my parents and twin adored her, same goes to this bastard.

I later learn that I slept with one of Xest's friend and he doesn't know he had a child with me. And I have no intentions of telling him, buti nga at nerespeto ni Xest ang disisyon ko but he kept on coming here in Seattle para makita ang ina-anak niya, yes his Glyde's godfather, I have no choice he blackmailed me na sasabihin niya sa ama ni Glyde na may anak kami. Bastard.

"Happy birthday by the way" he said then handed me a
velvet box. I forgot it was my birthday today, busy kasi ako sa trabaho and I don't have time to celebrate it.

I accepted the gift and open it. "No, you didn't" my smile widen and looked at him, It was a twenty five thousand dollars wrist watch, it was what I've been trying to save up for three months, and now he gifted it to me. "Thank you, Xest!" I said then ran up to him and hug him tight.

"You're welcome, I know you've been wanting a new one since the watch your always wearing was a gift by your dumb ex, and you dont want to change it because it cause almost 10k so I bought you a new one, a much much more expensive one because you, babe, deserve it" mahabang lintaya niya

"Thank you very very much." I happily gaze at the watch. I dont usually wear accessories since I'm a doctor and when I'm on duty the only accessory I have on is my necklace, knot ring that my twin gave and my watch, because it's a must to have a watch on your wrist. I am very sentimental about my things so whenever I buy accessories and such I dont buy cheap one's kasi usually cheap things get destroys easily.
