Chapter 3

Drishti's POV

"Goddd I am soo embarrassed right now, you made me look like an big idiot !! "

" not again, please ! we already argued about this matter five minutes back." adihti said, we were driving back to the hospital.

" Adithi, he is  the owner of the hospitals I WORK IN and yes yes I know I know that hospitals is just one of the franchise but still end of the day YASH ARORA is the ultimate boss of me and if we completely ignore that also, you can't just do whatever you did today infront a cute guy, NO and --"

" OH MY GOD, SHUT UP ! for the love of the god shutup" She yelled.

" but---"

" one - yash is not your freaking BOSS, my Uncle is. yash is the CEO of Arora tech not Arora hospitals
  two- my brother is cute ? eww no
  three - you were not even opening your mouth infront of him and now ???? " she completed her speech.

" I panicked okay, sorry " I said maybe I overreacted, yes obviously I was not trying to speak much infront of him.

" it's okay and you should be the same with everyone drishti, everyone at the hospital thinks that you are typically a rude, selfish doctor which you are not !" she said her tone a bit serious now.

" I try ??? " I like it better when things are under control and one of them is keeping my professional and personal life separate.

" you don't, anyway you think yash is cute ? " she said teasing me

" shutup "

"Doc, congratulations!!!!!" The night shift nurse cheered

"Thank you but I did not get promoted" I  replied back.

" I know I know, but still he gave you a week off which is more than a mere promotion "

"Whattt ???" Adithi who just came inside my cabin yelled.

" Yes, I got a week off, actually 9 days considering it's friday today " I said smiling widely. I can already imagine all the good things I can do, like waking up really late, kiara, a movie or a date maybe. Wow, I really got lucky today.

" How ?? How did that psycho give you a week off ???" Adithi asked fake crying.

" Because I worked overnight and day and night and day for the past two weeks and treating that VIP 7 patient was a big task"

" Yeah, I sometimes feel like you are a Robot or something. Always ready for any kind of emergency case and always busy " she shook her head. I just gave her a smile and packed my bag.

" I should go now, been out on my break for more than 15 minutes" the nurse said and left my cabin.

"By the way drishti What are you planning to do this whole week ?" adithi asked, she sounds suspicious ??

" nothing much why ? " she is up to something, I can sense it.

" maybe I could set you up with my brother, what say ? " she said making my eyes wide

" WHAT ??? "

" he is cute, remember ?"

" oh god please don't do anything stupid, don't tell me you already did."

"no I did not but I thought he was cute ?"

" At least for now adithi please "

" okay, your bad " she said shaking her head.

Driving after work is the worst, had to bring my car today because of my lunch plans. Normally If I work only one or two shifts I drive on my own but am too tired to drive today. Thank god that my house is just 20 minutes away from the hospital.

Getting back home after a work always feels nice and not going to work for one week straight feels more than nice !!!

"Yes maa, am having my breakfast, lunch and dinner ! All three of them." I looked at my mom on the phone, she looked sleepy.

"But you should have it on time drishti, it's half past eleven and you are having dinner now " she spoke animatedly, worry and concern in her words.

"Yes yes yes I will, you should sleep maa. You have an event to attend tomorrow and badi maa won't like it if you are late." She laughed at my comment and nodded her head a yawn escaping her mouth. I live alone and the whole kapoor clan lives in delhi.

" okay okay and don't be home the whole week, go out with kiara or adithi or do something. "

" yes maa, I get it " moms and their obsession of thinking of their children as lazy people !  

"Good night drishti, be safe and call your dad tomorrow."

"Yes, I will. Good night maa, love you"

"Love you too" I cut the call and checked my messages. kiara, my cousins, dad, adithi and the community group of the community I live in - LA FAMILY HOMES. people are too noisy in that group.

the message -

we are getting new members to our La Family, 15A got new owners !!

Mine is 15B that means I finally get neighbours other than that 16A creep, ugh FINALLY.
