Drishti's POV
" What made YOU visit me this early that too in the hospital ? " I asked Kiara, It's only 10AM.
" There is something I need to tell and you can't skip your work today ? " she sounds serious
" I just started working again today after my 9 days leave kiara ! I obviously can't, Anyway what is it ? " I replied back
" I am thinking of resigning " She said
" you are thinking WHAT ?" I asked her, she loves her job and likes her boss a lot, she says it's just a crush but I know her better.
" yes, you heard it correctly "
" why ? "
" I can't always be someone's shadow drishti, I don't even know what am I doing now, It's not like I don't get paid enough, goddd I don't know " She said, she works as a manager to a famous singer and no doubt that he is hot as hell.
" what's wrong kiara ? Is it about your boss ? " I asked her
" no no no, nothing about him. It's just that I am never gonna be promoted, that's the position and same work I am gonna do until I become old, I love my job but I don't wanna restrict myself, I know this is not something I really want and It's too late to realise it after working 2 years with him " she said everything in one breath.
" It's never late kiara, think about it, give it some time and decide what you really want and no matter what, I am always with you. " I replied back giving her a reassuring look.
" I know, now a bigger problem - how am I gonna break this to dad ? " she asked slumping her shoulders and sighing, let's just say her dad won't even like the idea of her being unemployed and will obviously try to get her work under him AGAIN.
Before I could reply to her the intercom buzzed diverting my attention.
" Doc, patient in room 205 is complaining of severe chest pain. ECG shows ST-segment elevation. " Nurse said through the intercom phone
"Alright, I'm on my way. Check the patient's vitals, prepare for an emergency angiogram. Inform the cath lab team to be ready. " I said back already wearing my coat.
" Yes, doctor. I've already administered oxygen and nitroglycerin. " she said before the intercom buzzed indicating she cut the call.
" I am sorry ---- " kiara cut me off
" I understand drishti " she said waving her hand rushing me out of the office.
" and I am in no mood of going back to either work or my home - So, crashing at yours " she said walking out with me, I just gave her a small nod and started rushing towards the 205 room. Kiara has the extra key to my house, she even has her work clothes, casual wear practically everything at my home, So it won't be a problem.

" Welcome back home !! " they yelled
" woah, Hello people who do not live here ! " I said shocked at the sight in front of me, Nishcay, Rahul and Kiara are watching something seriously on TV, food in their hands and also drinks, chocolates and snacks on the table. rahul neatly wrapped up in a blanket.
" Drishti get us some water from the kitchen " Kiara said ignoring my comment.
" go and get it by yourself " I replied back going inside my room.
I am back in my balcony connected to my bedroom and it is kind of my favourite place in the house, those three are binge watching some show, after having dinner with them, I am trying to read the book I brought in that Library, I still feel that someone is following me and I don't know If I should tell dad about this or not. I felt a car was following me today when I was heading back home. If I do speak with dad about this, what if he calls me back to delhi ? ----- my phone rang - yash ?
" hello yash ? "
" hey, are you free ? "
" yes, why ? "
" nothing ! just felt like speaking with you, So how was your day ? " he said making my lips instantly twitch up.
" It was hectic, I had to -------------------- " I started to rant about my day, after that day he dropped me, we have been texting each other.
" I am travelling to delhi tomorrow " he said, It's been 40 minutes since we spoke about our day, adithi, his mom and random things.
" Oh, when will you come back to mumbai ? " I asked him
" maybe in a week "
" when is your flight ? "
" 8pm "
" okayy, don't skip your meals and don't stress yourself much yash "
" this is the third time am hearing this today, first mom, adithi and then you"
" because you do the exact opposite "
" says the person who skips her meals" he replied back
" I don't do it on purpose "
" me too "

After speaking with yash, I returned to reading that book and I heard the balcony door open of the next house making me turn, it was him. Whenever we meet, all we do is argue. I opened my mouth to greet him and before I could speak he started speaking
" not now drishti " he said as if I am about to scold him or something
" what did I even say ? " I said taken aback by his words
" whatever you speak is always irritating " he said shaking his head
" you !!! ugh you are such a jerk "
" see that ? yeah, It's annoying too " he added
" why do I even try to initiate a conversation with you " I am shaking my head now
" yes, why do you always do that ? " he asked me back
" sorry ! I won't do that anymore "
" thank you "
