Chapter 10

Dhruv's POV

I had this constant nagging feeling about the car parked in front of my house from a week, At first I thought it belonged to a resident but after looking through the data, it was not.

It's 11 PM now and I could see her from my balcony getting off from her car, she looked tired. Just after drishti went inside, the car was back.

"Boss" nischay said standing at the door of my room making me turn around.

" We need to leave " he said, we are supposed to go out for a deal. I slightly nodded.

" We need to check the CCTV footage of our house, precisely outside our house " I asked, following him to our living room downstairs where Rahul is waiting for us.

" Okay, why boss ? " He asked

" I noticed a car outside our house for a week "

" Here is the CCTV footage " Rahul said switching tabs on TV.

" It's like no one is inside the car, I mean is that person for real ? How can they stay so many hours inside the car ?? " Rahul said, my intuition was right, the car is here and something is definitely wrong.

" That's not the point, he /she is following drishti " I said coming straight to the point.

" But why ? " Rahul replied back

" Can be because of us " nischay said, yes it can be someone trying to use her against us because, we have a neighbour for the very first time and she has been hanging out with Rahul and nischay frequently.

" Rahul, did you check about her properly ? " I asked him, it can be someone related to her also.

" Yes boss, nothing suspicious or unusual " he said in a reassuring tone.
The door bell rang making us alert, Rahul opened the door, revealing a tired looking drishti.

" Drishti, hii ?! Come inside " Rahul said all the three in a go pulling her inside and closing the door. She waved her hand with a small smile looking at nischay.

" I - I need a little help " she said looking a bit doubtful, as if regretting coming here and asking us for help.

" What do you need me to do, your honour " Rahul said making her smile.

" I need anyone of you to accompany me to the hospital, it will just take 15 minutes that's it " she said

" But if you are not free it's okay, I understand. And it's kind of urgent, so we need to leave now if you agree but if you all have any plans, I totally understand ! " She added again. Rahul and nishchay looked at me with a knowing look, yes even i think the same, she noticed the car and is scared to go alone late at night even though this is not the first time she is leaving for the hospital like this.

" Drishti, don't worry ! I will go with you - " Rahul started speaking but I cut him off.

" I will go with her. " I said

" You will come with me ? " Drishti said clearly surprised.

" Yes, Rahul and nishchay are going out " I said looking at both Rahul and nischay.

" Umm- drishti, I am really sorry but yeah we have some work, so- I - " Rahul started speaking

" It's okay Rahul, I understand " she said

" You said it's urgent ? " I asked her already waiting for her, outside.

" Yes yes "

It's been an hour since I was waiting for her inside her cabin. I got a text from her 30 minutes back -

' hey dhruv, you can leave.'
' I will come back on my own, will be late '

" You are still here ? " She asked walking inside looking a lot more tired than before.

" Let's go ? " I asked, ignoring her question.

" Yes " she said still shocked. Both of us walked out of the hospital and got into my car.

" Thanks dhurv .. for everything " she said before a yawn escaped her mouth.

" You can sleep drishti " I replied.

" Dhruv "

" Yes ? "

" I am confused "

" About ? "

" About you. Sometimes you behave as if I am the last person you wanna interact on this planet and then sometimes you are like this. " She said her eyes fluttering and slowly drifting off to sleep.

I waited for her today because I couldn't leave her on her own knowing that her life can be at threat and can be because of me.

And now I am waiting right in front of my house for her to wake up.

And I still don't know why I said, I will go with her even though Rahul would have.

These were the three thoughts on my mind while I stared at her sleeping figure like a hawk.

Drishti's POV

I have a throbbing pain in my head maybe because of the excessive working hours I had today. I looked around realising that am still in Dhruv' car parked outside his house.

" What's the time ? " I asked him a yawn already escaping my mouth.

" 3:30 "

" WHATT ?? " I asked completely gaining consciousness.

" Why didn't you wake me up ? I am soo sorry dhruv !! " I added, I slept more than an hour in his car and he just waited for me to wake up ?

" You were tired " that's all was his reply before he got out of the car.

" Dhruv !! " I ran hurriedly behind him stumbling into his back. He turned around and gave me a questioning look.

" Thank you and also sorry, I - I shouldn't have slept like that in you car "

" If you are done. I think both of us should sleep " he replied

" God ! For once, I thought you can also be nice " I muttered under my breath

" What ? "

" Nothing, goodnight dhruv " I said and as always I just got a nod from him. He waited at the front door of his house until I went inside mine and that was the day I smiled for the very first time after arguing with dhruv and not be irritated.
