There was chaos all around. The news was spread all over the praja that Amrapali had fled from Vaishali but no one could figure out how she could suddenly disappear.

The king started talking to his special minister about this, "Minister ji, find out about Amrapali as soon as possible, with whom has she gone and who has she eloped with?"

And then the king said very deeply and confidently, "If we are not able to find her soon, then Vaishali may have to pay a very big price for this. We have organized a ceremony after two days to celebrate the selection of our new Nagarvadhu (courtesan), in which many great kings are going to come. And in such a situation, if the news spreads that we will not be able to handle a Nagarvadhu of our kingdom, then our kingdom will be greatly defamed and then Vaishali will not get any protection from the enemies. Vaishali is not in a position to face its enemies. Vaishali is weak in both power and wealth. Therefore, it should be changed as soon as possible!"

Hearing this, a special minister of the king said, "Maharaj, don't worry. We will try to lure them and bring them in front of you as soon as possible!"

"Okay," the king replied.

Meanwhile, Amrapali and Harshdev both reached the jungle while running. Amrapali was very tired. Her condition had worsened due to hunger and thirst. She said to Harshdev, "Harshdev, I cannot walk any more. Can we stop here and rest for a while?"

Hearing this, Harshdev said, "It is going to get dark, there can be danger of wild animals in this jungle. But if you say so, we can stop here and rest for a while. I will arrange some refreshments for you right now." This started with Harshdev leaving from there.

"No, don't go anywhere! I will just rest for a while and then we both will move ahead!" Amrapali said.

"No, no, we won't be able to go far staying hungry and thirsty like this, so you sit under this tree, I will bring something!" Harshdev said saying this and started leaving from there.

"Don't go too far Harshdev!" Amrapali said in a tired tone.

"Don't worry, I will be back just now!"

After some time Harshdev brought some fruits and some water with him and giving a mango to Amrapali he said, "Here are some fruits, eat them and drink some water, you will feel better."

"No, I don't want these mangoes," saying this Amrapali turned her face away.

Seeing her like this, Harshdev asked her, "What happened? Why are you behaving like this after seeing a mango?"

"Nothing, you won't understand!" Amrapali replied.

Seeing this, Harshdev asked her, "This fruit is so good, juicy and lovely. Everyone likes its appearance too. Then why did you turn your face away like this after seeing this fruit?"

Hearing this, Amrapali's eyes became moist and she said in a tearful tone, "Nothing, this fruit has some sweet memories of my childhood attached to it and seeing it reminded me of my mother Ambe. The saddest thing is that I am the reason for her death too!"

Seeing that fruit Amrapali got lost in the memories of her childhood and said emotionally, "Do you know how much I like this fruit! I am also named after this fruit!"

"Then take it and eat it!" said Harshdev.

"No, this fruit reminds me of my mother Ambe. She used to say that I was named Amrapali after this fruit." Saying this, tears started flowing from her eyes.

Just then Harshdev wiped her tears and said, "It's okay Amrapali but right now we don't have any other way to satisfy our hunger so you have to eat this right now."
