Amrapali promised the queen that she would repay all the debt taken by her from the jeweler, but it was difficult for the queen to believe her. Because it is not easy for a courtesan to arrange such a huge amount in two days.

Meanwhile, the king of Vaishali was talking with his chief minister and Sarna in his room.

The king said, "Sarna, have you heard all this with your own ears??"

Sarna said, "Yes, Maharaj, when I followed Devi Amrapali to the queen's palace, I secretly heard the conversation between her and the queen. Devi Amrapali has promised the queen that she will repay all the debt of the jeweler of Samastipur within the next two days."

The king was very happy to hear this.

The king said, "This is a very good idea."

Maharaj looked at the chief minister and said, “Mahamantri, we used to say that Amrapali is childish, but she does not have the feeling of treason. Now you must have believed that we did not make any mistake by choosing Amrapali as the courtesan.”

The chief minister said, “Yes Maharaj, but have you thought how Amrapali will repay the debt of that jeweler??”

Mahaman said, “We are also thinking the same, Amrapali has said two days, but it is not easy to raise such a huge amount within two days. Let us see what solution Amrapali brings to this problem.”

Amrapali was also worried that how will she be able to repay the debt of the jeweler of Samastipur in such a short time. Amrapali was getting angry at her own decision.

Amrapali said to herself, “What was the need to act so great Amrapali, you are a courtesan and not a princess who can arrange such a huge amount in such a short time. Now if you are not able to arrange the amount within two days, then your words will have no value.”

Amrapali was in a dilemma as to what to do. Then once again she heard the words of a sweet song. When Amrapali heard that song, she remembered that this voice was somewhat familiar. When she came to the platform of her room, she saw that the same Banjaran was humming the song once again. While Amrapali was feeling relaxed after listening to her song, she was also feeling a strange restlessness.

Amrapali called Sarna and asked him, “Who is this Banjaran?? Who sings songs like this every night??”

Sarna replied to Amrapali's question and said, "I don't know Devi, every night some Banjaran or singer comes to the palace and shows his art. It has been a tradition for years that any Banjaran or dancer or singer who comes to Vaishali while roaming around stays in the courtyard of Nagarvadhu Mahal for a few days and sings songs like this. Why do you have any problem??

Amrapali said, "I don't have any problem but I don't know why there is a pain in this Banjaran's voice. This voice seems familiar to me. When she sings a song, it seems as if she wants to say something to me."

Sarna said, "If you say, I can bring her to meet you?"

Amrapali said, "There is no need for that."

Sarna said, "Okay Devi, I am leaving. If you need anything, call me."

Sarna was about to leave when Amrapali stopped her and said, “Wait Sarna, I wanted to talk to you about something important.”

Sarna said, “Yes, please tell.”

Amrapali said, “A blue-eyed masked man has been roaming around in this palace and kingdom for a long time. Maharaj has given us this responsibility to find him but we cannot do this alone…we need your help in this work.”
