A/N: inspired by my own holiday only the lifeguard never spoke to me this is a recent one i just needed to put on here x

It all started when I couldn't get into the pool with the rest of my family. Why? Because I must have lost my swimsuit somehow and i didnt want to bother buying another. "Are you going to be okay?" my mum asked before she got into the pool "yeah you don't have to worry about me " i told her "i have my phone and my book" i held them both up for what reason i didn't know.

She finally left to go enjoy herself for once while my dad took care of my little sister and brother. I had read about 11 pages of my book when 3 lifeguards walked past me one with long brown hair and stunning blue eyes then another with blonde hair and a nose piercing which i never knew could look so great on someone before and then the last one had shorter curtain type brown hair and the same beautiful blue eyes. They were wearing yellow lifeguard suits with the word lifeguard in red on the back of them and then yellow shorts and red trainers.

I couldn't help but stare. They looked just like triplets and I was so sure they were. I couldn't just go up to them and ask them and then invite them over to sit with me. That would be crazy but I wouldn't have minded that. I finally noticed their name tags. The blonde one was called Nick, the long haired one was called Chris and then the other one was called matt. They each took sides across the deep end of the pool, the closest pool to where I was sat.

The swimming baths were huge; they had about 7 slides and 3 different pools with a lazy river. I was starting to think about getting another swimming costume now. The 3 boys laughed with each other through sign language because it was really loud and the music was deafening. Just then Matt walked over to where I was sitting and I quickly looked down at my book and the other 2 seemed to be laughing again.

"Hey" Matt said and I looked up from the book i was reading "hi?" I said nervously feeling myself burn up. "Is swimming too cool for you"? He asked with a smirk. I explained the swimming costume problem stuttering as I did so. "Aren't you supposed to be doing your job?" i asked him "i'm on my break" he told me and i nodded smiled and looked back at my book. "That's an amazing talent" he said and I looked at him with a confused look on my face. "Reading upside down," he pointed at my book. "One of my" i hesitated "many gifts". We laughed and he went back to lifeguarding. I couldn't believe he actually spoke to me. The boys were spinning the whistles they had in their hands and pacing to keep their blood flowing.

Matt kept catching glances of me. This was better than any upside down book in the world I thought to myself. "I bet you were so bored" my mum said as she got out of the pool and i handed her a towel "not really" i said as i gave matt one last smile before leaving with my family. It was only the first day of my holiday. Maybe I'll see him again.
