Sophie takes another sip of her soda and I can't pull my eyes away from watching her perfect full pink lips wrapping around her straw. Her soft caramel eyes look up to meet mine once more and I can't help but smile at her.. She's almost like the missing piece that I've been searching everywhere for.... But can a human and Mythical be mates? I'm aware their anatomy is similar, but... I can't recall one story or fairytale that told of a human and mythical being bonded

" Thanks for bringing us here" Sophie's eyes look around the little Italian Restaurant. The interior is decorated exactly as you would expect; pictures of Italy and vine greenery line the corners of the walls " It's no problem, The family who owns it are friends of my fathers..." Her eyes widened after learning this.. " Oh!" she looks over at the older woman and man who stands near the front of the restaurant.. Clearly eyeing Sophie and I, " that's Mr. and Mrs. Drago" I take another sip of the water that sits in front of me.. My eyes travel to Jason, who is currently coloring on one of those colors by number paper placemats for kids... " Drago? Are they...?" her eyes look back towards me.. I smile and chuckle, almost choking on my water when Mrs.Drago nods and smiles at Sophie... Her eyes soar to the size of saucers and she looks towards me...

"Dragons? Yes, they are" I pause "they can also read minds" I lean foward and whisper to her across the table.... I can visibly see her body stiffen and can hear her internal screams,... Oh shit! .. " Don't faint Sophie! Please!" I grabbed her hand... " Just listen to my voice.... " Yes, they can read minds; it helps them run their business actually.. It's how they always know your order before you even sit down. Cindy Drago is an incredibly sweet woman My Father and I work on their cars and their delivery vans whenever they have problems and in return," I rub my thumb across the back of her hand.. " They give us free food...at least they try.. I always pay for my meals" I look towards the older woman who is giving me the stare of a lifetime and is shaking her head, smiling at me.. " Dragons!?" Jason looks up at me..." they're dragons?" he asks excitedly and I nod to him... " Their not actual dragons but they are part of the Diamond Dragon Clan " I inform both of them " they only read people's minds when they choose to tho... they are very respectful with personal thoughts".... She nods and smiles at the woman who walks back into the kitchen ... no doubt going to gossip about the town's newest residents...

After a few minutes of talking to Castor and learning more about him and the town ( more detailed description backstory)

A young waitress sets the large pepperoni pizza down onto the table ... "Pizza!!!" Jason squeals loudly... " Jason! Hush! We are in a restaurant bug!" Sophie lowers her head to whisper into her brother's ear.. The little boy's face suddenly falls.... " sorry" he mumbles...

"Pizza!!!!" I can't help but scream and throw my hands in the air... Sophie sits straight up, shocked; her poor golden eyes never seem to catch a break.. Her hand flies to her mouth as she desperately looks around at the other patrons who are just giggling and smiling..

Jason breaks out into a loud laugh and a smile that would fly off his little face if it had wings... " Castor!" she hisses, trying to scold me, her cheeks turning a dark crimson " It's okay to be excited about pizza" I smile and reassure her...

" Hell yeah, it is!" Mrs Drago approaches our table smiling.. Sophie begins to quickly apologize, but the woman stops her before she can get the first syllable past her sweet lips... " don't even worry your pretty little head about it sweetie Mr Drago and I absolutely love it when people get excited about our food... it's a compliment".... Sophie smiles but clearly looks stunned. The blush still spreads across her fair cheeks... " Here, Big man" I grab a plate and place a large slice in front of Sophie's brother and the little boy begins devouring the pizza like it's his last meal on earth...
