13.Castor

"Marry Me, Sophie"

There's a pause and I can feel her body stiffen against my side as my words slowly sink in.... She sits up, my body already missing the warmth of hers. She turns to face me, her eyes wide with surprise... "Wha...what?" she stutters....I take a brief moment to place Jayson down on the couch next to his sister, moving from beside her to one knee, kneeling in front of her. Just like the Images of the earthmen who proposed in those books I've been studying all week long, hoping and planning to give My little bird the proposal she deserved

" you will have to forgive me as i am not accustomed to the traditions you have back on earth, but i do know that the next thing i am supposed to do is tell you how much you mean to me...." a second of silence passes between us as i take her hand in mine. Her eyes follow the action, her lips still slightly parted as she is watching this scene unfold

" One month ago today you walked into my world, literally... forever changing my life. You are the most beautiful, kind-hearted, strongest woman I have ever met. My heart told me you were my mate the second my name fell from your perfect lips. A month ago i wanted nothing more than to just try and get out of this small town that has always seen me as nothing short of a criminal. But then you show up and tell me that my eyes are beautiful..." Sophie's hand covers a smile while her eyes are blinking back what i hope are happy tears.

" Now I want nothing more in this life than to share it with you"

" I'm sorry this isn't more romantic, or the Proposal you have probably always dreamed of but.... "

"I couldn't think of any better time castor" she jumps up wrapping me in her arms... " I love you"... I pull her back to look in her eyes " is that a yes?" she laughs while nodding and holding back tears " yes! it's a yes you idiot!" she slaps my shoulder playfully

" I have the perfect family in the entire fucking world" Castor exclaimed.... Jason playfully gasped and scolded him for cussing... I couldn't help but stifle my laughter...

14.Castor

The restaurant is filled with close family and friends of Lizzy's as they welcome her back home. The royals have guards placed everywhere around the building just to be safe. The Man who stole her away really did cause terrible mental abuse to her, almost erasing all of her memories of her home. But thankfully, Liam and Cedar were able to help her Remember.. The most shocking part was finding out that Cedar was Lizzy's mate! That caused a bit of complication in her rescue, of course, plus Lizzy completely thought Cedar was nothing more than some creepy stalker. But that's a story for another time.

My sweet Sophie is standing next to Adira and Lizzy, about to tell them our news of expectations.. I watch as Adira's mouth falls open in shock as she squeals an extremely high pitched note causing many mythicals in the room to cover their ears. including me... but I smile as she jumps, wrapping her arms around Sophie " I'm gonna be an Aunt!!" that causes Sophie to laugh out loud and then Mrs Drago runs over to the group of girls offering her congratulations as well... obviously she already knew the moment we arrived, just waited for Sophie to announce it herself.

"You're not wearing the shades, I see" Liam walks up behind me and hands me a mug of Ale... I smirk at him.. " nope".. He's right; I haven't worn the black shades in a few weeks.. I still get the occasional person who will walk to the opposite side of the street when they see me coming.. But most of the residents in our little kingdom know me as the son of teddy.. Or the snake who helped save the princess.. " Have you two bonded yet?" I ask, catching Liam as his eyes hover over Adira ... " She's Mine... that's all that matters" I nod... " Soo... she's being stubborn then?" he shrugs " I love a chase."
