Aaliyah Fangwood POV/;

"Princess You must wake up immediately you're going to be late on your first day at the new school" said my personal maid Lesley.

I yawned and climbed out of my new large bed and made my way to the bathroom connected to my room to get ready for the day.

I arrived in this country four weeks ago and enrolled in this new school a week ago, the school is said to be the best school in the area. They said that many of the top most strongest alphas graduated from this high school.

that's the only reason I was able to convince my father to let me travel so far away from home for school, When I said that he was all ears.

See my father is the king of Fangwood an ancient kingdom of werewolves that has been around for centuries. My step mother is the queen and I have two half older brothers making me the youngest.

My place in the royal family is not high, in my father's eyes I'm the most useless of them all. I'm an omega and on top of that I'm half witch yet I don't know how to use my abilities.

I'm useless on a battlefield which is a big no for the people of the fangwood kingdom who all pride themselves on being strong warriors.

Because of that and many other reasons my father has been looking for a suitor for me and finally found one. His name is Damon and the man is like 30 years old which makes me feel sick when I think about marrying him. Our engagement isn't official yet which is why I'm here trying to find my mate before it is.

I made my father believe I wanted to get stronger though.

I want a real relationship not a political one all for my father and family to gain more power. If I marry him it'll be like suffocating none stop.

But if I find my mate before then, then my father will have to call off the engagement under one condition, mates aren't all that valued in my kingdom so if you are to be married and you happen to find your mate before then, if they are not strong enough then they'll be slaughtered in front of you and you'll be forced to marry the person you were promised to.

Messed up I know but that's how it is there they believe to make strong babies you need a strong partner and in my case having a child is most important. all children of the king must do so once they come of age which is 17 there.

I felt an unusual pull towards this place I read in a few of the palace library books that it could mean your mate is somewhere here. I really hope so and if so I wonder what he'll be like, will he be tall and handsome?, maybe he'll have those pretty blue eyes I always loved seeing considering it was so rare in my kingdom and only my Step mother, and two brothers had them.

When I was younger I thought blue eyes made you spacial and because mine were a light greenish brown then that was the reason I was treated less normal then my brothers were.

I understand now why my step mother hate me and honestly I couldn't blame her I mean who wouldn't I'm the product of my father's clear unfaithfulness. My case wasn't the first time he had been unfaithful to the queen but it is the first time that it had resulted in a child in which he had no choice but to take responsibility for, it would have made him look bad if he didn't.

Plus I ended up being the first and only princess which has it's perks I guess. for example this large mansion I was given to stay in while I'm here, my father said its mine and called it an engagement gift but I'll think of it as the first birthday gift he has ever given me even though my birthday passed weeks ago.

Anyways I will by staying in the country for a year and 5 months which is plenty of time for me to find my mate.

I can't wait to meet him.
