Hongjoong
I woke up in the middle of the night, feeling hands force me out of bed. I grabbed my dagger and pressed it against the throat in an instant before I had really even opened my eyes, just to see MM there, her eyes boring into me.
"What be it?" I snapped, shoving her off me.
"The Wonderland." She breathed, pure excitement lighting up in her eyes. "It's burning."
I felt my gut drop as I shoved past her, stumbling out of the motel room I had found myself in after a rough self-induced lobotomy. It was all the way at the edge of the city as I stood on my balcony, staring at the fire and smoke blooming in the air where the dock was.
I knew it in my heart that I was far too late. Even if I ran over there, even if I forced MM to fly us there on a broom, it was not be fast enough.
The Wonderland was gone.
I trekked my way down to the dock, taking far too long, and by the time MM and I made it, the ship was just bones as it sunk into the sea below.
My heart felt like it shattered inside me, my home for the last century...my first home ever...up in flames. Everything inside it burned along with it. All of the memories, my family, everything that grounded me was ash as it flew away in the wind.
I felt my knees want to give out, a sob lodged in my throat.
In the distance, I saw another ship as it sailed away, a figure standing towards the back of it as they stared at the remains.
"How cruel were you to your little love, again?" MM said, almost snickering at the sight of it. "Seems as though he got his payback."
"I have not'in left." I whispered, watching as the final anarchy flag fell into the water.
"That's not true." She said, looking at me. "You have death left."
I fell to my knees, my cries finally unlodging and spilling from my throat.
