In his gaze, I fell like a shooting star,
Levitating, he made me feel as though I'm dancing on the strings of a harp,
Orchestra in my brain, I'm finally singing not because of pain.
Sand on beaches,
Thorns on roses,
Maudlin old jewelry in wooden boxes,
Examples that simply show how we're both inseparable creatures.
War cries ended inside my head,
His presence calms the voices inside it,
It never felt threatened like a constant target,
Loving him was a fireplace near a fancy carpet.
Endearing and sometimes overwhelming,
Like, who could have thought I could ever experience this feeling?
Oasis on my deserted soul, bandage for my bruised sole,
Valiant is a word to describe,
In how brave he is to cease my blazing fire.
Not even the brightest of smiles can compare to mine, like a
Grapes on a healthy fine vine,
How I wish this isn't just a fantasy,
I wish I wasn't dancing in a fake harmony,
May this love of mine won't be the cause of a grieving memory.
