Would you believe a writer when they say "I love you?"
If verses always tangle at their souls,
And inks serve as their blood flow,
And every breath they take is a poetic tale,
Would you believe them when they only say "I love you"?.Their passion lies in expressing metaphors and schemes,
Making things far from what it seems.
Painting a living feeling with great precision and detail,
Finds solace in burying comprehensible thought to a fathomless pit of symbolism,
Taking a roundabout to a road of indecipherable paradox;
Always wanting to be understood, but communicates in gibberish.Unlock the hidden meanings of their phrases,
That's when you can see their hidden faces.
It only takes a word for a wise man to understand,
It takes thousands for a writer to convey. To a writer who loves, a million words wouldn't be enough,
Gracefully forbears to include the word "love",
We replace it with "For you, I would set free all the world's finest doves"
For we writers don't tell but show,
We won't say we're fireflies, darling, we'll simply just glow.Through the eyes of a mine, honey,
I would never believe if a writer only says "You are lovely",
For being loved by a writer is being alive in her works.
Her mouth is closed but her gaze on your face would never set apart,
She would never miss an opportunity to declare that you are "endearing" in her art.
She'd describe herself as a target and you're the dart,
And she'd say you'll always be the chamber of her heart. So if you ever hear those words so plain,
From a writer whose love is like gentle rain,
What lies there is a lie,
For a writer would never be so simple with something she had ties.
A writer's love is the deepest you'll ever know,
But I am certain that an "I love you" is the least they'll ever show.
You must see yourself first in their poetry,
Then you can be certain that they loved you with whole sincerity.
