Determined to help Taehyung, Jisoo began researching everything she could about his family and the company they were involved with. She reached out to a few contacts in the art community who had connections in high society, hoping to gather information that could help.
Meanwhile, Taehyung tried to reason with his parents, explaining his feelings and his desire to choose his own path. But they were adamant, their minds set on securing the business alliance.
"Taehyung, you have a responsibility to this family," his father said sternly. "This marriage is the best way to ensure our future."
"But I don’t love her," Taehyung argued. "I love Jisoo. Isn’t that more important?"
His mother sighed, her expression softening slightly. "We want you to be happy, Taehyung. But sometimes, we have to make sacrifices for the greater good."
Frustrated and feeling trapped, Taehyung called Jisoo later that night. "They won’t budge," he said, his voice filled with despair. "I don’t know what to do."
"We’ll figure something out," Jisoo said, trying to sound more confident than she felt. "I’ve been looking into your family’s business. Maybe there’s a way we can find a compromise."
As they brainstormed, a plan began to take shape. Jisoo suggested they organize a private art exhibit, inviting influential people who could sway his parents' decision. If they could show that Jisoo’s talent and connections could benefit the family, perhaps they could change their minds.
"It's a long shot, but it might work," Taehyung said, a glimmer of hope returning to his voice. "Let’s do it."
