Theo took her to the nearest diner. He immediately ordered two glasses of cola, and she drank them all. He checked her medical ID; her sugar level was normal now. When she finished drinking the two glasses, she leaned on the chair and breathed deeply.
Her husband was looking at her thoughtfully; he arranged her short skirt and covered her legs with his coat as men were looking at them. At some point, she'll give him a glare, but today she will let his possessiveness slip again.
When the waitress approached them again, she rolled her eyes when the woman obviously flirted with Theo. Her blouse was now open; from one button when she served the cola, now the two buttons were undone. Savannah smirked when the waitress bent down to display her front. She raised her brow when Theo didn't look at the bountiful display; he instead asked her. "What do you like to order, sweetheart? "
"Cheese burger, fries, and coke float," she responded immediately. Theo smiled. "I order the same and make two Coke floats for my wife," he said to the waitress. The waitress looked at her in disbelief and turned to the counter. Maybe she looked younger than her age, and the waitress assumed that she was his sister, and she giggled at the thought.
"You shocked the poor girl," she commented dryly. "You know that she's not a girl," he responded, amused. "How did you know? I'll meet Joyce, and where are her parents?" She asked. Theo smiled and said, "I have my own resources, sweetheart. I am a hunter, remember? Joyce's parents are on Red Island right now, and Joyce will follow them soon."
She had been to Red Island before; she spent seven years there. The island is beautiful; they called it Red Island not because it's red or the soil is red but because, when, full moon, red islanders can view the red moon and it seems near. The size of the moon was also bigger than the normal size when you were on the island.
She had never missed the full moon parties before. Every month, she looked forward to it because she would see Theo there. She also loved the food, but she stayed only before midnight. Her mother and her stepfather won't let her stay after midnight.
She now realizes that they shifted at midnight and continued the hunting party in the mountains. One time, when she was seventeen, she didn't follow Lily and became stubborn. She wanted to see the shift, but she fell asleep before it happened. Someone put something in her food or drink that made her sleepy. She blamed herself for loving to eat the food served.
"Are you going to torture them?" She asked. Theo looked at her intently and said, "We have our own rules, sweetheart, and they committed a grave sin against humans. The wolf's punishments are not humane in human perception; they may be monstrous in your eyes, but we need to implement them to serve as an example and bring order."
Their order came, and both of them ignored the waitress. She took the burger and began eating. She was so hungry that Theo chuckled. He pushed his coke float to her when she swallowed a large bite of burger. Theo was just looking at her. He didn't touch his food.
"I want to see how you torture them," she suddenly said, still munching the burger. Theo smiled. "Are you willing to return to Red Island?" He asked softly as he wiped the cheese on her upper lips with his thumb and sucked it. Savannah suddenly felt hot. She drank her coke float, but the whip cream covered her lips. She was blushing.
"Do you know how beautiful you are right now, sweetheart? I want to devour you here, now, but I can't with all the young kids looking at us, but I can still do this," he said as his lips went to hers. His tongue licked the whipped cream from her lips before he devoured her mouth. She was gasping for breath when he freed her.
"Damn you, Theo! ," she said, her whole face up to her neck turning scarlet.
"I just can't help myself. I can negotiate, you know," he said as he winked at her.
