Savannah visited Julie Ann's father in jail. "I am a friend of your daughter; your family is safe now. They're under my protection. Tell me, did you really kill those women? "

The man looked older than his age. Blessed with bright children and no money, yet he was able to find time for gambling. Leslie Ann was a brilliant student. "What a difference would it make? I already confessed that I killed them."

"I have hard evidence that Joyce and her friends did it. If you retract your statement, your fate will be changed," Savannah said.

"I deserved this; Julie Ann suffered because of me. I swear, I didn't do it. Joyce tricked me; she offered me money. She knew I was addicted to gambling. Then she wanted to take my eldest daughter as payment. I begged her, but she didn't listen to me. She threatened me with killing my whole family if I didn't."

Savannah knew there was a reason why Joyce offered him money. "Why did Joyce offer you money? I won't ask because I think it's large enough that you forgot your family and started enjoying your life. You're too confident to spend it," she asked.

"I owed them money; I went to the office to beg her father to give me another week. I saw her and her wild friends doing horrible things to the blond girls. Instead of helping those girls, I saw it as an opportunity to get money from them. I recorded them, and I was feeling excited. I even wanted them to kill the girls so I could get more money, which they did." His hands went to his face as if he was ashamed.

"Joyce was a cunning woman; she made me believe she was afraid of my tricks. When I spent all the money she gave me, I went to her and asked for more. I did the same trick, threatening her to send the video. But she was ready for me; she expected me. She told me she knew my movements very well and called me many names. She blackmailed me; if I didn't give her the video, she'd kill Julie Ann. I didn't believe her; I was so greedy and selfish." He stopped, catching his breath.

"Then one night, she came to my house. She had the audacity to come to my house and show her face to my wife. I was so proud, and I underestimated her. She had already made my wife watch the video of our little girl being raped by the gang. Her wild friends raped her!" Julie Ann's father wept in front of her.

"This is my fault; I ruined my daughter's future. I deserved to be here. My wife was devastated when she saw it and blamed me. She hates me now. She also learned that I also take my other children as collateral," he said. Savannah let him cry for a few moments as she observed him. How come people do something horrible to their family and realize it too late?

"Joyce was in the hands of one of the girl's family, who killed her. Your family is safe for now. But we needed to serve justice, not like that. We needed to persecute her and feel the shame. If you retract your statement, I cannot promise you'll be out of this place. I believe your words; you deserved to be here. But you could be a good father to them now by telling the truth. I promised you that your family would be safe.

"Joyce's parents won't let their daughter go to jail. They will do anything to protect her," he said.

"Not if they're dead," she said, annoyed by his cowardice.

The man's eyes widened. "Don't ask me who did it. I don't know. They have many enemies, and I am not interested in them because they're useless now."

Julie Ann's father agreed with her. Savannah knew Joyce and her parents were in the king of wolves' hands. She wanted the law of humans for Joyce, and she'd do everything to recall her from the wolves. For her, it was not ethical to suffer a human at the hands of wolves. But Theo hadn't called her since the day he sent her to the headquarters.
