Savannah looked around; the place was packed with wild and hyped-up clubbers. There was an electric buzz in the air. She laughed when she saw the party's theme, "Sodom and Gomorrah," the names of the notoriously sinful cities mentioned in the Bible. These kids are insane, she thought.
So, this is it: the party's theme was engraved on the chip. But Savannah had a strong feeling that there was a deep meaning on the crest, as if she had entered a den of a cult or secret organization.
Looking at them now, it appears that this place will be destroyed by sulfur and fire tomorrow, and everyone has decided to party their last. They dressed in their most daring outfits. Everyone was stunningly dressed. The boys and girls appeared to be prepared for this night. Their faces shone against the lights, bright and youthful. Except for her, the girls were glistening in gold, silver, red, and black.
The air was cool, but everyone on the dance floor was hot. The music was extremely loud. The air smelled strongly of cigarettes, alcohol, and sex. Couples are having sex all over the place.
Wyatt approached her, already high. Drugs are also present in her drinks, which he gave her. She pretended to enjoy herself at the party. Joyce and her followers were drinking with a group of men at a table.
Wyatt told her not to tell anyone about the invitation he gave her during lunch yesterday. He went on to say that the party was exclusive. Because the place was packed with young people, she might have interpreted the word differently. The location was only a few blocks away from the school. The front had an Italian restaurant next to a Chinese restaurant. The restaurants have connected parking, and party guests enter through the back door, as well as separate elevators with tight security.
Savannah was no stranger to this type of underworld activity. Ethan's father owns a well-known house of excess and a high-end club exclusively for werewolves. She sneaked into the said place before out of curiosity and was able to witness for the first time different kinds of excesses.
"So, what's the big deal? You mentioned that this is intriguing. I've been to several of these types of parties, and they bore me. I'm bored," she said, looking around for something new.
"Relax, Jenny; just wait and enjoy the party," he said with a wink. His hand brushed against her thighs, but she grabbed it. "Later, baby, I want to get excited first," she said with a wink.
"I like that," Wyatt exclaimed.
Joyce approached them with possessive arms linked to Wyatt. She didn't glare at Savannah this time; instead, she smiled at her, but her smile was wicked. Joyce poured another drink when she noticed that her glass was empty, as the drink from Wyatt was successfully switched from the passing waiter. Joyce raised her glass to her. She really wanted her to drink the damn liquor. When she saw a server approaching, she pretended to collide with him and spill the liquid onto his tray before pretending to drink it. Of course, she was quick; her grandfather was not known as a great thief in the underground world for nothing. Joyce smiled contentedly at her.
As she danced on the dance floor, she pretended to be high and aggressive. When Joyce smiled triumphantly at her followers, she smirked. What are their plans? Will they gang-rape her in front of these people? Orgies and exhibitions are popular sexual practices in the clubs she frequented during her surveillance operations.
When people began to move away from her, she just kept dancing. She enjoys dancing because she has no talent for singing. From Joyce's table, three men approached her. When she realized her guess was correct, she almost laughed. Maybe if Theo gave her a pre-test in Music with options, she'd do well.
Even when she kicked them with her killer heels, she pretended not to notice the boys and avoided them with grace, as if it were part of the choreography. When they grabbed her hands, she slid away from them like a slippery eel.
