chapter 2 ~ the audition

when the finale school bell rings, your mom come to pick you and maddy up. when you arrive to your house you tell your mom that your thinking of auditioning again, she tells you that its a wonderful idea and to ask her if you need any help, you thank her and head up to your room.

you get up to your room and maddy shows you the people you can audition for, the only female part left was one by the name of donna, you click on it and read he script and decide you want to do it. you get set up with the help of maddy and start to learn your lines. about 30 minutes later your ready, you hit record and film your audition. when your finished you and maddy watch it back,

M: "omg you did amazing, theres no way your not getting the job"

maddy said excitedly.

Y/N: "thanks mads, now lets send it in"

i said, in hope that we'd hear a response pretty soon..

~~~~~~~~~~ A MONTH LATER ~~~~~~~~~~

you are now on summer vacation from school, you and your sister are upstairs playing mario kart.

M/N: "Y/N, COME DOWN!!!"

you heard your mom shout although, she didnt sound mad, she sounded..excited? happy?

i rushed down stairs to see her jumping up and down in the kitchen screaming,

M/N: "YOU GOT THE JOB, YOU GOT THE JOB!!!"

i couldn't believe it, i actually got the job!

Y/N: "OH MY GOSH, I HAVE TO CALL MADDY"

you run upstairs to your room and grab your phone, you type maddys number in as if your life depended on it. it starts ringing, you wait a couple seconds and she answers.

Y/N: "HI MADDYYYY!!!"

i practically screamed at her.

M: "HEY Y/N, WHATS UP?"

Y/N: "CHECK YOUR EMAILS!"

M: "WHY?"

Y/N: "UGH JUST DO IT!"

M: "OK, OK"

i wait a couple seconds until i see a wave of saddens come over maddys face.

M: "i didnt get the job.."

she said slowly, she sounded really upset.

Y/N: "oh mads, im so sor-"

M: "JUST KIDDING I GOT THE FREAKING JOB!!!!!"

she cut me off.

Y/N: "OH MY GOSH MADDY YOU SCARED ME!!!"

M: "WAIT GO CHECK YOUR EMAILS TOO"

Y/N: "I ALREADY DID, THATS WHY I CALLED YOU"

M: "AND?"

Y/N: "I ALSO GOT THE JOB!"

M: "AHHH OH MY GOSH WERE GONNA HAVE SO MUCH FUN!!!"

Y/N: "IKR, I WONDER WHOS GONNA PLAY FINNEY"

M: "OMG YEA, MY BROTHER AND YOU BOYFRIENDDD"

she teased.

Y/N: "HAHAH STOP THAT, ANYWAY I GOT TO GO ILL TALK TO YOU LATER, BYEEE

M: "BYEEE!!"

i hung up the phone and went down stairs to celebrate with my mom. she told me that i had a chemistry read with the actor playing finney and the actor playing gwen, obviously i already knew i got along with gwen AKA maddy but i still didnt know who was going to be playing finney.

M/N: "the chemistry read will be over zoom tomorrow at 10am so make sure you get some sleep"

Y/N: "okay, thanks mom!"

i ran up to my bedroom and got ready for bed, i brushed my teeth and then changed into my pajamas and dozed off.
