In the heart of a busy Bangkok neighbourhood, where the air is covered with the scent of street food and the sound of lively conversation, nestled a cozy little café that stood out like a hidden treasure. It is called the Sky Café, a haven for dessert lovers. The café's charm does not lie only in its warm wooden interiors and the floating aroma of freshly baked pastries but also in its owner, Chompu.

Chompu is a warm-hearted pastry chef in her late twenties, and she has a sweet smile that could melt anyone. She has always dreamt of becoming a pastry chef and her journey to becoming one was not easy. She had to work late nights, burnt tons of pastries and attempted countlessly to perfect her recipes. Her love for baking and seeing people enjoying her pastries was what kept her going. Every morning, she would wake up before the sunrise to start baking and creating delectable desserts just for her customers. She has been pouring her heart and soul to ensure that her creations not only look like pieces of art but taste delicious too.

The neighbourhood around Sky Café was simply vibrant just like the city itself. There are street vendors selling flowers, meat skewers and many more. The sound of vehicles and the laughter of children playing in the streets are added to the lively background. Amidst this chaotic environment, Sky Café offered a peaceful place where customers could escape from the chaos and treat themselves in a moment of sweetness.

One hot afternoon, as Chompu was putting the finishing touches on a batch of strawberry tarts, the little bell rang as someone opened the door. Engfa, a famous food critic who is known for her straightforward and honest reviews had just walked into the café. She was a woman of few words, but her reviews on BK Magazine spoke volumes. She has the power to make or break a café's reputation with a single article. Dressed in a crisp white shirt and jeans, she carried an air of authority.

Chompu greeted her with a warm smile, trying to hide her nervousness. "Sawadee ka! Hello! Welcome to Sky Café. What can I get for you today?"

Engfa scanned the menu briefly before she settled on a selection of pastries. She went to sit at the corner of the café near the window, took out her pen and notebook while waiting for her order. As Chompu watched her from behind the counter, her heart was pounding hard because she knew who Engfa was. She realised that this review could be a turning point for her cafe, and she should not mess this up.

As Engfa sampled each pastry, she jotted down notes meticulously with no expression. She tried the signature coffee cake, the lemon mousse and the most favorite strawberry tarts. Every bite was followed by a scribble in her notebook, revealing her thoughts of the pastries tasted. The anticipation in the air was intense.

After what felt like forever, Engfa finished her tasting and stood up to leave. She just gave Chompu a respectful nod and walked out, leaving her business card on the table. Chompu went to pick up the card and written on it was a simple message: "My review of your café will be published tomorrow."

The next morning, Chompu woke up to find her phone buzzing with messages from her best friend, Nudee. She informed Chompu that Engfa's review had gone live on the magazine's website. With shaking hands, Chompu clicked on the link while bracing herself for the worst.

The review from Engfa was critical and honest. She praised the café ambience and Chompu's clear passion, but she also pointed out areas that needed improvement. "While the Sky Café's desserts show promise, there is plenty of room to refine the flavours. They need to be bolder, and the textures need to be more varied. It is a cozy spot with potential. I hope to see it flourish."

Chompu felt relief as the reviews was not devastating, but it was a challenge to improve. She was determined to make her café a place where even the toughest critic such as Engfa would leave with a smile. As she stood in the middle of her café, she could not help but feel a spark of excitement. She wondered what Engfa would think of her other pastries, and whether their paths would cross again. Little did she know, their journey was just beginning.
