"How was the karaoke bar trivia?" Buck turns around when he hears the door shut. Eddie just stands there, looking shocked? Confused? Buck couldn't pinpoint it, but he did not look okay. "Are you alright, Eddie?"

"Is Christopher asleep?" Eddie is still frozen in his spot; he can't even look at Buck.

"Yeah... Eddie, what's going on?"

"I need to talk to you..."

"Okay, what's wrong?"

"Can we sit down; I think I need to sit down." He hasn't looked at Buck once during the entire conversation. He also hasn't taken a single step away from the door.

"Of course, whatever you need..." He starts to walk towards the couch. Eddie waits till he's a few steps away before following him. "Eddie, are you okay?" He sits down on the couch with a worried look.

Eddie sits down as far away as possible from Buck, still refusing to look at him. He opens his mouth to speak, but then just throws his head into his hands. He drags his hands down his face and shakes his head.

"Eddie, just talk to me. What the hell is going on?"

"I- I can't..." He stands up and takes a few steps away from the couch. "I can't do this... just never mind. You can go... thanks for watching Chris."

"Eddie..." He stands up and slowly walks towards him. He feels like if he makes any sudden movements, he would run away like a scared cat. He lifts up his hands and places them on Eddie's shoulders. "Just sit down..." He moves him back to the couch and pushes him down. He removes his hands from his shoulders and sits next to him. "Take a deep breath." He demonstrates and Eddie follows. "And tell me what is going on."

"I... Tommy." That's all he feels like he can get out.

"Tommy? Tommy what? You have to say more Eddie. I can only guess so much."

"He uhh... he kissed me?" He stares at the floor for a moment but can't help but look at Buck to see his reaction.

"I- okay..." He responds like he's still thinking. He felt... angry. He doesn't know why, but he doesn't want it to come through in his response, so he waits a minute. He wanted to say this is what he was worried about, but it wasn't, right? This couldn't have been what he had thought would happen... Why does he care so much? He wants to ask if he kissed him back, or if he liked it. Why were those the questions he wanted to ask? He knew he had to think of something else to say.

"Buck, please say something..."

"Are you okay?" It's the only thing that feels appropriate to say. At least the only one he can think of

"I don't... I don't know." Eddie had barely thought about it. He dissociated the entire drive home, and he still doesn't feel like he's been fully brought back. It wasn't just the kiss... it was what he said after.

"Are you... are you not okay because you liked it?" He felt like there was more to the story than just the kiss. Eddie wasn't telling him more, so he had to start asking questions.

"I... I didn't feel any differently than I do when a girl kisses me." It feels weird to admit, but it was true.

"So you liked it?"

"I... I didn't hate it, but I don't like Tommy like that." Buck finally feels like he can breathe again. He didn't know why, but he really needed Eddie to not like Tommy, at least not like that.

"You don't like Tommy... but you might like guys? Is... is that what you're saying?" Buck can feel his heart beating against his chest. Why does he feel so much about this one topic? He doesn't care who Eddie likes... Does he?
