Ela

We were playing our first game, against Georgia. The emotions were high, the stadium was buzzing with excitement.

It was our first day in Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park. Our team already started warming up, whereas we as the media team carried our stuff over to the media room reserved for us and layed our equipment out.

"Ela, I'm taking you to the pitchside, there we'll get unique shots from a closer angle," Mete announced and I nodded, "no complaints over here."

Rana handed me a camera and a big lens to prepare.

Not too long after we went downstair towards the pitchside and started taking pictures. Together with the trainers, our squad followed his instructions. On the other side Montella was talking to some people in front of a camera that was streaming everything live.

Once we were done with Mete we walked back to our room and started working on the posts that were to be posted. Forty minutes later both the Georgian and Turkish national team walked onto the pitch and sang their national anthems.

The four of us stood at the window and started singing as well. Not too long after, the game officially started. It was an intense match and after Mert shot the first goal, Kenan was the one to shoot goal number two!

I was especially happy that he got to shoot one. The way he kissed the blazon made my chest fill with love and pride all at once. We all were celebrating but all the excitement washed off once the referee announced that it was offside.

"No way," I murmured. The others scoffed, "if he were shorter and had smaller feet it would've worked."

The game didn't end there yet. Georgia scored a goal and it was now 1-1.

We had to win this game. And then, the tournaments, probably most beautiful yet, goal came from none other than Arda. The stadium was hyped again and so were we. We watched and at the same time got to work. These moments were going to be a hit on social media!

The game came almost to an end when all of a sudden Kerem got the ball and ran to the empty goal. The last goal in the last second, we won 3-1 against Georgia. What a game, what a relief!

Rana, Mete. Dogukan and I celebrated together like everyone else in the stadium, jumping around and whooing.

Then we got to business as usual, this time all of us not being able to contain our excitement and continuing to work giddily. The boys went into the boys locker room and got some joyful moments of them on camera for our little documentation of the tournament.

Later we packed our things up and followed the national team to the hotel. In the lobby, we got to congratulate everyone. After I congratulated Arda on his epic goal I moved on tot he next player, which was yours truly, Kenan.

"Well played, though it is unfortunate that your goal didn't count," I said with a little frown, Kenan shrugged, "it is but at least we won."

I nodded with a smile, "yeah, hey, next time score a goal for me."

Kenan grinned, "I'll try." In that moment I just wanted to hug him but it would've been awkward. "Alright, you should leave now," I said as everyone started to move towards the bus. Kenan furrowed his brows, "you're not coming?"

I smiled, "our team is taking some footage, we'll be following shortly after." He nodded in understanding and stood there for a moment moving his arm forward and then retracting it back. Was he about to hug me?

I touched his arm and looked softly up at him, "see you later."

He nodded once more and took a step back, "alright."

He left for the bus and I went to Rana's side. "Once they're gone we can leave too. Mete is taking a video right now." I nodded and I felt her bump my shoulder with hers.

With a knowing glint in her eyes she said, "he's cute isn't he?"

I gave her a confused look, "Mete?" She laughed and shook her head, "no, not him. You know. who I'm talking about."

I started blushing and tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear. "I'll admit he's cute. But that's about it."

"Sure," Rana said with a little smirk on her face. I rolled my eyes, "it's the truth!"

"We'll see about that, but just so you know, I think he likes you too."

With that she walked off towards Mete who had called us over to leave for the hotel.

There's no way he likes me like that, we don't know each other at all. There was maybe some physical attraction but that's it.
