Chapter 3

I was getting ready for school; I was now 12 years old and Louis was 14. Lucky he is just lucky sometimes. He and I were still friends, best of friends! He came over every day after his football practices and I would stay for his practices. Girls didn't like me because Louis always hanged out with me, he did have other friends but he mostly hanged out with me. People sometimes thought we were dating, which would make me and Louis freak out. We were just really really really close friends. Today was the school talent show. Ages 11 and up at our school could be in it, Louis of course was in it. He begged me to be in it but I told him no. He was sad but got over it. He was going to be in with his band. They were kind of well, I got up and went to use the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and my hair, it was kinda long. Still light drown and I still had green eyes. I put on a Coldplay t-shirt, some skinny jeans and black vans. That was me, I didn't dress up. I went down and ate some cereal.

"Bye mum" I said, kissed her cheek, grabbed my book bag and headed outside to meet up with Louis. I always had my necklace he gave me on. So did he, it was our thing. I saw him waiting.

"Morning Melody" Louis said grabbing my hand. He did that know, we would hold hands walking to school. It wasn't far.

"Morning Lou" I said.

"Ready for the talent show" I asked him.

"Yep"

"How is your band?"

"Good, I guess"

"Cool" This was our conversation. We passed a store.

"LETS GO IN" Louis said pulling me into the store. We were looking around

"Look Lou, silly string" His eyes got big. He grabbed it and went to go pay for it. He also got something else. We left; he started shaking the can as we were walking.

"Here you go" He gave me a cookie.

"Thanks Lou" I smiled big. He always gave me something. He would never let me give him anything. I started eating the cookie. We saw the school.

"Well this is where I go there and you go over there" He pointed to our friends. I than saw someone walk up to us. It was Louis girlfriend. I didn't like her, but I didn't tell Louis. He liked her and I wanted him to be happy. She looked at me than to Louis.

"Bye Lou" I said hugging him in front of her, she looked really mad at me.

"Bye Melody, Remember to meet me backstage before the talent show" He said.

"Don't worry Lou. I will be there"

"Promise" He took out his pinkie.

"Promise" We did our promise. Yes, we still do our promise; he would make us do that.

"Bye love" He kissed my cheek, this made his girlfriend more mad.

"See ya" I said walking away. My friends looked at me.

"What" I said walking to class.

"Louis kissed you" They said.

"Oh my gosh guys its nothing he always does that" We went into class. Time passed and then it was time for the talent show. I was walking when I saw Louis girlfriend crying. She gave me an evil look and walked away. Whoa, what happened to her? I went to where Louis was. He was with his band mates.

"Louis?" I said behind him. He turned around.

"Hey Melody" He said.

"Why was Abby crying" I asked, forgetting about his mates.
