Chapter 5

It has been a while from Louis last call. It was on his 15's birthday, after that he never called again. I was crying again. I got really upset, I hoped each day I would get a call from Louis but I never did. By now I was the best of friends with Niall just as me and Louis was. He was funny and knew how to cheer me up. He and I build a tree house, my dad helped us but we got it up. I liked it; it was our little place we could go. We also had an ice cream place where we could go. I and him were in love with ice cream. That was our food. We would go there if someone was upset or something big happened or if we needed ice cream. Niall broke up with his girlfriend, she was being mean to me and he saw that and he told her it was over. He's like my brother, only I'm older than him by one day. But he always used that to tell me he is older. I was waiting for Louis call but it never came. I started to cry. I heard a knock at my door. I whipped away the tear I had and Niall walked into my room.

"Hey leprechaun" I said, he looked worried.

"Why are you crying" He looked worried.

"I was hoping Louis called but he hasn't." It hurt me a lot. I mean him and I have been best friends for so long. He knew everything about me. But now he just went away like nothing.

"Don't cry Mel, I don't like seeing you cry" Niall said.

"I know lets go get some ice cream" He said smiling.

"Sure" I said putting on my sandals. The ice cream shop was down the corner. By now, the owner and everyone that worked there knew us.

We started walking. No one was saying anything.

"So I heard by girls that you like someone" Niall said.

"I don't like anyone" I said trying to hide it.

"You can't lie to your best friend" He said.

"Fine, his name is Adam" I said. Niall knows who I'm talking about.

"I don't like that guy" He said looking at me.

"But I do, he sweet to me" I said. He would call me pretty and sweet and other stuff.

"So, I'm sweet to you" Niall said.

"But I'm your best friend, you have to" I said. We saw the ice cream place. It was packed with people from our school. People said hey to us. We got our ice cream and sat down.

"Speaking of him" Niall said. Adam came to our table. He pulled up a chair. I just smiled.

"Hey Melody" He smiled at me.

"Hey Adam" I said.

"Horan" He said looking at Niall.

"You' He said. I kicked him in the leg. He bit his lip and looked over to me. I gave him a look but he didn't care.

"So, I been wanting to ask you something" Adam said looking at me.

"Yeah?' I said. Hoping what it was going to be.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked. Niall gave me a look, but I didn't care.

"Yeah, I love to" I was happy inside.

"Nice" He said. He put his chair next to mine. I looked at Niall, he looked mad.

"Can I talk to Mel real quick" Niall.

"What-" He grabbed my hand and pulled me to the side. I almost fell out my seat.

"What the heck Niall" I said. Adam was looking at us.

"I don't want you dating him" He said looking at Adam. Adam and Niall don't like each other. Adam steeled his spot in the school football team. Niall got put in a different place. Than Niall got revenge on him. They just hate each other.

"Well I do" I said crossing my arm.

"Well if you go out with him, I won't talk to you" He said.

"I guess you won't be talking to me" I went back to my seat. He looked surprise. He looked at me and I could tell he was mad. He walked out of that place. I felt bad but I knew Niall was going to come around.

"What was that about" Adam asked putting his arm around my waist.

"Nothing" I said. We talked more but I had to go home. It was pretty dark. But I got home safe. Niall was watching the telly when I walked into my house. I guess he was waiting for me. I sat next to him. He didn't say anything, neither did I.

"I'm sorry" He said. I was looking at the telly.

"I just over reacted" he said he does that sometimes.

"It's okay" I hugged him.

"But why him" He said.

"He has that bad boy taste" I said.

"I have that to"

"Niall, you cried when I killed that fly" I said

"Shut up" He said. I smiled, knowing I won.

"What if someone else liked you?"

"Who" I asked

"I'm just wondering?" He said I knew he was hiding something.

"Maybe, I would give them a chance. If I liked them more than Adam and I know the person. Just maybe" I said. He smiled.

"Well, I'm heading home we have school tomorrow" Niall said. I walked with him to the door. I looked up at him. Sadly he is an inch taller than me.

"Good night Leprechaun" I said to Niall.

"Good night Mel" He kissed my cheek and started walking to his house. He never did that before. Louis did that before, but never Niall.

I went off to bed. I got changed. I still keep on the necklace Louis gave me. I hope he still had it on. I was falling asleep when I got a call. It was from Louis.

"What do you want?" I said a bit harsh.

"Melody" I heard Louis ask me, his voice got a little deeper.

"Yep that's me"

"I'm so sorry I haven't called you" Louis said sounding worried.

"Is that all"

"Please Melody don't be mad at me. I thought we were best friends" He sounded really hurt and really sad.

"I have a best friend, his name is Niall"

"What about me?"

"Louis, you never called me or anything." I started getting angry and could fell some tears coming.

"I've been busy."

"To busy for your best friend? Look Louis, I'll do you a favor. Don't call me every, I found my new best friend."

I hung up, I wanted to cry. I mean he has the nerves to call me after 5 months of no call. I mean, I didn't need him. I have Niall. Niall Horan is my best friend and that's all I want. I fell asleep. I was really sleepy.

Hey Gurlxxxx and Boyzzz. Sorry about this chapter is kinda short and boring. I needed to write something for when there 12 and how there doing. Next chapter will be longer and better trust me!
