Back to Jul
As he continued to walk down the quiet street only sound being heard was his wet footsteps that filled the otherwise completely silent street, he was getting the feeling of ending to throw up, his body attempting to cleanse itself of the drugs he stuffed himself with.
He could feel his vision being filled with black splotches messing up his sight in front of him. He could feel his body tensing up as he got hot, as his throat was closing up and he struggled to breathe.
So unable to walk anymore correctly he leaned against the cold brick wall that stuck to his wet clothes, falling to the ground and his eyes closing. Was this it? Was this his way out of life?
As he felt the life slip from his body, he was suddenly brought back by a scream that sounded so close. and it sounded like it came from an older man, along with stabbing noises
"W..Wait please!"
The man yelled screaming out. Great can't even die in peace jul toughot as he hosted himself up, his shakey legs struggling to hold him. He stood up and cut the corner going into the alleyway where he heard the scream, holding the empty pill bottle in his hand.
While walking he froze, his body jerking to a stop as he seen a tall muscular man, stabbing a now lifeless body, and even though the man had a mask on, Jul seemed to remember that build from somewhere. The man must've heard jul because he turned around and looked at him.
His cold gray eyes looked at jul, staring him down, and peering into his soul. His breathing got stuck in his throat once more, not knowing if that was the drugs or the fear taking over his body. He watched the masked man's eyes go to the empty pill bottle in his hand, grumbling out quietly to himself, before finally saying something.
"You took all of those, birdy?"
That nickname... Where had he heard that from, he didn't answer the man, just watching him as he suddenly started to walk up to him. His large frame easily over towering Jul's.
The man stared him down with his lifeless gray eyes, seeming to have no shame or regret for killing the man behind him. His large hand reached out, causing Jul to flinch lightly thinking the man was going to hit him.
The man seemed to hesitate for a second before placing his rough callous thumb under Jul's chin, lifting it to look into his eyes. The man's hand was rough, and large, along with the veins that sat on the back of his hands that went with the blood splatters on his hand.
"You look high as a kite, birdy, so answer me, did you take all those?"
The masked man asked again, leaning down to Jul's eye level to look him dead in his eyes.
"I..I did.."
Jul spoke, but why did this man care or not, he didn't know him. Juls eyes cut to the body that was laid up in an upright position against the brick alley wall, bleeding out the multiple stab wounds. The man grumbled once more, as his grip tightened on Jul's chin turning his eyes back to him, his grip wasn't painful just firm.
"Are you an idiot? You're gonna OD"
The man spoke in his low emotionless voice, keeping eye contact with the boy, but something changed in his eyes, just for a second before they went back dead.
However, he saw the kid's condition realizing he was having a bad high, Seeing that the kid wasn't going to respond to the last thing he said he took the empty bottle from the kid, and examined it
"How much did you take?"
The man's voice was cold and emotionless, as he didn't care about the kid, holding the empty bottle in his hand.
"All"
Jul spoke, but honestly, he had no clue why he was telling this man that, that wasn't his business. Maybe it was the look in the man's eyes that forced him to speak and tell the truth.
The man threw the empty bottle in the dumpster behind him and kneeled back down in front of the kid.
"You're a kid, you don't need to do these things to yourself, birdy."
He said boredly, he looked back at Jul, then at the dead body looking back at the boy before scooping him up easily on his shoulder like a sack of potatoes trying to ignore how light he was. His rough large hands stayed on his waist keeping him in a firm but gentle grip so he wouldn't slide off.
"You're lighter than I expected"
