Mari

Lana's POV:

"Oh, you're so very welcome" I said.

Molly smiled as she closed the door and walked to her front door. I was on my way to pick up my cats at chucks when I remembered what Molly said. She could help me reach out to Marina again, and that's really all I've wanted for the past few months.

as soon as I parked into chucks driveway, I pulled my phone out and opened my messages with Molly. I stayed in my car thinking of what to say. I really wanted to get in touch with Marina but didn't know how.

I put my phone away as I got out of my car and pulled out my keys to unlock the front door. I had a key to chucks house. since we're close, it wasn't really a problem. As I walked in I saw Chuck carrying Phoenix and hushed me, she was trying to put Phoenix to bed for a nap. My cats came running to me as I bent down to pet them. Chuck left the room and came back out a few minutes later as I was still babying my cats.

"Well hello there Ms. Del Rey" she said with the a smile on her face.

"hey Chuck, I was thinking of taking my cats back to my place for a few days. I really miss them."

"Yeah sure no problem I'll go get their carriers". Chuck went upstairs, which is when I decided was a good time to text Molly.

I pulled out my phone and typed,

Me: "hey Molly, could you get me in touch with Marina? Thanks."

I shut my phone off , as I was trying to brush off the nerves Chuck came back with their carriers.

"You seem off, is everything okay?" She said looking at me curiously.

"Yeah, um I was hanging out with one of my dancers yesterday. And she can put me back in contact with Marina." I said.

"Lana.. do you not remember what she did to you? You were in a horrible state and she didn't bother to reach out." Chuck angrily opened the carriers and went after the cats.

"Well, I just wanna talk with her Chuck, Please." I begged.

"Well alright. But don't get hurt again, because guess who will have to take care of you again? ME." She yelled.

"Whatever." I said as I grabbed the carriers.
Phoenix started crying, probably because of how loud Chuck yelled.

"Great now I have to go take care of her because her aunt decided to piss her mom off. Thanks a lot". She said.

I felt tears forming in my eyes. I grabbed the carriers and walked out of the house. As I put the carriers in the backseat I got a message, it was from Molly.

Molly <3: yeah no problem I'll send you her number. I'm on a walk right now, but I'll send it to you once I'm home! Should take only a few.

Me: thanks love!

I got in my car and started driving home. I was pretty hurt by the way Chuck reacted. I mean she has a right to be mad, my mental health was horrible after Marina left.

Once I got home I settled in and let the cats free. I sat on my couch when I got a message from Molly with a phone number. I smiled.

Molly <3: 213-***-**** that's her number !

Me: thank you so much.

I didn't hesitate to text Marina. I quickly tapped on her number and typed,

Me: hi Marina. How are you??

A few minutes went by with no response. I decided to get in the shower while I waited for a text back. I went upstairs and picked out a beige looking dress. As I got in the shower I played some music, Marina came up but I didn't really mind it.

Once I was out I checked my phone to see no response yet. I was upset but I saw it coming, maybe she's busy. I'll give her some time to answer. I started to blow dry my hair and then straightened it. I went downstairs to look for a meal and found some spaghetti from takeout I had gotten the day before rehearsals.

as I was heating it up I got a message and I quickly ran to my living room and picked my phone up from the couch. It was Marina.

Mari (don't text): hey Lana, I've been great! hru?

I smiled as I thought the response could've been shorter.

Me: I've been good! sorry this is so out of the blue, you just got brought up and I couldn't stop thinking about how you were.

I put my phone down but left it turned on as I ran to my microwave to stop it before the timer went off. I'm childish, I know.

I got a text back instantly saying,

Mari (don't text): no worries! are you busy? We should meet up and catch up since we're already talking! Maybe go out for lunch? :)

I read the message a threw my spaghetti in the air making a mess. My cats quickly came and started eating it as a laughed.

Me: oh yes, of course!! Where and what time?!

Mari (don't text): what if I pick you up?! And if we see any restaurants in the way we can stop and talk there?

Me: sounds good!!

Mari (don't text): on my way! :)

a/n: hiiiii! I'm so sorry if this is mad I just kind of wrote this on the spot since I thought I hadn't updated this story in a bit😭 I hope you like it..

The next chapter will be a lot more interesting i swear! I'm so excited for Lana to release tough on the 4th of July! And so excited to see Marina perform as well!
