Happy Doctor's Day ☺️
________________________________________
Shivani stirred awake as the first rays of dawn filtered through her window, casting a soft glow across her room. Today was no ordinary day; it was Doctor's Day, a celebration of the profession she had dedicated her life to. As a medical student at the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Shivani felt a profound sense of pride and responsibility.She lay still for a moment, letting the significance of the day wash over her. Her mind buzzed with the thought of the upcoming events, the lectures, and the ceremonies that marked the occasion.
Doctor's Day was more than just a celebration; it was a reminder of the journey she was on, the sacrifices made, and the lives she would one day save.
With a determined sigh, Shivani swung her legs over the edge of the bed and stood up.
Shivani moved to the window, pulling the curtains aside to let in more light. The campus of AFMC was already coming to life, with students hurrying to and fro, some still groggy from late-night study sessions, others energized by the day's importance.
Today, her schedule was packed. Morning rounds, lectures, a special seminar by a renowned cardiologist, and the evening's Doctor's Day celebration. She tied her hair back, donned her crisp white coat, and pinned her AFMC badge onto her chest, feeling a surge of pride.
Before stepping out, she took a moment to look at the photograph on her desk. Their smiles radiated warmth and encouragement.
Grabbing her stethoscope and notes, Shivani left her room and headed towards the lecture hall. The corridors of AFMC were bustling with activity, and she greeted her fellow students and professors with a respectful nod. As she entered the lecture hall, she felt a familiar mix of excitement and anticipation.
Doctor's Day was not just about honoring the profession; it was about recognizing the dedication and hard work of those who aspired to join it.
Today was a celebration, yes, but it was also a reaffirmation of her purpose and a glimpse into the future she was tirelessly working towards.
Siya approached from behind and went to Shivani, sitting down beside her.
"Shivi , tu theek to h na Teri tabiyat kuch theek nhi lgri h , murjhaaya hua sa chehra lag rha h," Siya asked .
{"Shivi, are you alright? You don't seem well. You look a bit faded," Siya asked.}
" Hnn , theek hi hu yar , bs dar lgra h , agar unko yaad hoga toh.. , pta h mujhe kal se neend bhi nhi aayi , being an overthinker worst se worst scenario imagine kr chuki hu ," Shivani said nervously.
