The Pune sky was painted in warm shades of orange as the sun dipped below the horizon.  Shivani stepped onto the AFMC grounds, the place she'd been away from for what felt like ages.

The chatter of cadets, the sharp commands from the training field, and the rhythmic pounding of shoes on gravel all welcomed her back.

"Cadet Shivani ," came a voice, light but unmistakably teasing. Siya emerged from behind, a broad smile on her face, eyes twinkling with excitement. "Look who finally decided to grace us with her presence!"

A grin spread across Shivani's face as she dropped her bag and pulled Siya into a tight hug. "Siya! I missed you so much."

Siya pulled back, taking a playful jab at her shoulder. "Missed me? Yeah right. I heard all about your grand parties and your 'amazing dance moves'—" she wiggled her eyebrows, "—and a certain video that went viral."

Shivani's smile faltered for just a second as she remembered that chaotic evening and the call from Advik. But she masked it quickly, shrugging it off. "Oh, you saw that too?"

"Who didn't?!" Siya laughed. "It was the talk of the cadets here. You became the campus legend while you were away."

Rolling her eyes, Shivani picked up her bag again. "Great. Just what I needed—my reputation as 'Miss Responsibility' overshadowed by a dance video."

Siya looped her arm through Shivani's as they walked further into the campus.

"Speaking of which, Commander Malhotra's been in a bit of a mood these days. You should have seen his face when that video made the rounds."

Shivani felt a shiver run down her spine at the mention of Advik. She hadn't talked to him properly since that heated phone call. "He's always in a mood," she replied lightly, trying to dismiss the anxiety coiling in her stomach.

"True," Siya said, but her gaze grew a bit more serious. "But there's something different about him lately. Like he's got this fire in his eyes but won't let anyone know what's fueling it."

The two walked into the dormitory. Shivani glanced around at the cadets, some nodding at her in recognition, others giving her curious looks. She was back in her world, but an unspoken tension hummed beneath the surface.

Just as they reached her room, a voice called from behind, firm and demanding. "Cadet Sharma."

Shivani froze. The unmistakable authority in that voice could only belong to one person. She turned slowly to see Commander Advik Malhotra standing at the end of the hallway, arms crossed over his chest, his sharp gaze locked onto hers.

Shivani could see the controlled fury in his eyes, a storm barely contained. It was the first time in weeks she had seen him in person, and the impact was just as intense as ever.

"Report to my office in ten minutes," he said, his voice clipped, before turning on his heel and walking away without waiting for her response.

Ikaa~ Saas to lene de bechari ko 😒🙄

Siya's eyes widened as she glanced at Shivani. "Looks like someone's in trouble."

Shivani took a deep breath, steadying herself. "Nothing new," she muttered.

Shivani watched Advik's retreating figure, the corridor around her growing quieter as the cadets shifted their attention back to their routines. Her heartbeat pounded in her chest, echoing the nervous energy coursing through her veins.
