 Shivani rubbed her temples, feeling the weight of Mishika's desperation mingling with her own nerves. She knew that whatever was happening back in Banaras, it had to be significant for her sister to sound so anxious.

"How am I going to manage this?" she muttered, glancing at the watch . A shiver ran down her spine at the thought of facing Advik's  sharp, questioning eyes.

She shot a quick text to Siya: 

Something urgent came up. Heading home . Cover for me please again for some days .  If anyone asks, especially the commander. Will explain later.

Within the hour, Shivani was on a flight to Banaras, her thoughts oscillating between worry for Mishika and the dread of having to face Advik when she returned.

The moment Shivani stepped out of the cab in front of the Sharma residence, the familiar sights of home welcomed her. But today, the usual warmth was laced with an unsettling tension. Mishika's anxious voice over the phone echoed in her mind, urging her to hurry back home.

Pushing past the entrance, Shivani spotted Mishika pacing the hallway. "Di!" Shivani called out, stepping into the room.

 Shivani stepped into Mishika's room, the soft evening light casting warm hues across the walls. Mishika sat by the window, her gaze distant and unfocused as she absentmindedly fiddled with the hem of her dupatta. The room was quiet.

"Di," Shivani said softly as she approached, taking a seat on the edge of the bed.

Mishika turned, her eyes reflecting a mix of confusion and vulnerability. A faint smile appeared on her lips but quickly vanished. "You really came," she whispered, her voice wavering.

Shivani scooted closer and placed a reassuring hand on Mishika's arm. "Of course, Di. Tumne phone pe aisa tone use kiya, kaise na aati main? Now spill, what's going on?"

Mishika sighed deeply, looking down at her hands. "Shivi... I don't know how to say this. Ever since Papa started talking about this marriage arrangement, I've been feeling... uneasy."

Shivani's brows knitted together in concern. " Marriage ? Uneasy? Why? Did something happen?"

"Yeh , chal kya raha h yeh sab ? " Shivani said.
