Rose's POV :

My headache from last night's hangover followed me as I entered my office next morning.

"Good morning Ms. Morphyn! " My secretary, Yeji chirped as soon as I entered my room.

I mocked a glare. "I told you not to use formalities in private...."

She shrugged. "Can't help my proffetionalism, Ms. Morphyn."

I sighed and went straight to my desk and sat on my chair.
Sunlight blinded my vision as I lifted up the curtains and took in the morning view of Seoul.
It's been pretty long since I've came to my office. It's located on the top floor of Taesan Law Farm, Korea's top law farm.

I don't have to come everyday, since I don't have work everyday.

I took off my sunglass and dropped my bag on my desk.
"I'm not late today, am I?" I joked.
I'm ten minutes early.

I laughed when she didn't answer.
"Have you had breakfast? "

"Yes, a great one. Now, I have some things awaiting for you." Yeji stood up, slid all the files from the 'case section' and slapped them all on my table, making me cough with all the dust.
She clapped the dusts off her hands and pointed at those files. "Here are all the cases you've been requested to do since last month. You can look into them."
She mocked and bowed as I still struggled to not cough.

It's been like this.
Yeji, Na Ye Ji, has been working for me since almost my start at this career. We've naturally fell into an comfortable - friend like relationship. Sometimes, we even hangout casually on our free days.

Yeji rested her hands on her hips and looked at me. " What are you paying me for? Are you planning to reject all of them again?"

I pulled the first file from the pile.
"No. I've became a bit too lazy these days. I need to focus on something ASAP."
I looked up at her.
"Let's just take a whatever case, yeah?"

She didn't wanna show it, but her eyes gleamed a bit in enthusiasm.

She loves her job. She loves law. She loves to do cases with me. I know that.

"Which case is this gonna be this time?" She glared horrifiedly to the pile of files on my table, so long that it almost covered my view to the other side. "I swear, I'll need a whole shitty week to read all of these to you."

"Hmm." I leaned back and looked at the mini sized mountain of files.
"Let's just close our eyes, and place our hand on a random file and pick one case up?"

This is the best idea I could think of. Because it's true, it'd take a literal shitty week to finish reading all of the files.

Her eyes widened. "You're gonna let your intrusive thoughts win?" She shook her head in amusement. "Cool. I'm down."

I giggled. "You do it."

Surprisingly, she didn't argue.

She's so freaking cute when she's all worked up over work.

Yeji closed her eyes and licked her lips. Her hand ran from the top to the bottom.

She dramatically stopped at the middle, on a yellow file.

She opened her eyes and gave me a sour look. "What if it's one of those random landlord cases?"

"I swear, just open the damn file and tell me what's it about !"

She pulled the file out and opened it.
After some mumbling to herself, her mouth curved up to a smile.

Okay then.
Now it's sure that I've got a good case.

I leaned forward on my elbows. "So, what's this one about? "

She smirked and looked up at me. "You gotta admit now, I have magic in my veins."

I raised my eyes brow up with an unanswered question.

She pulled out some papers from the file and handed them to me.
"It's one of those Entertainment company cases. A company has specially requested you to look onto their case they're struggling with."

I flipped the papers without looking up at her. "What about their personal company lawyers?"
She flipped more pages. "It seems like their lawyers are refusing to do such a complicated case. It's most likely to be a plagiarism case along with a lawsuit for mistreating their Idols. And they're especially counting on you due to your success rate at your cases."
"So complicated that even their own lawyers are refusing it? " I hummed. "I like challanges."

Yeji nodded and handed me more pages. "Here's the inner informations. I think you should actually take this one. It's a big company in this country."

I looked up. "Which Entertainment is it again?"

"HYBE." She replied.

"Oh, so.....WHA-"
I chocked on my words.

HYBE?

I used to train in HYBE a long time ago......

They're facing charges for mistreating the idols and plagiarism?
When I was there, nothing like this happened.....

I mean, they overworked us for sure but........mistreating them? Plagiarism?

They've changed this much in this four years?

Yeji stopped looking at the pages and looked at me while I proceeded (or tried to) my thoughts.

"Ms. Morphyn?" She asked eagerly.

I cleared my throat.
"Yeah, nothing. Just some......memories..."

My experiences at HYBE may help me in this case.....

I came back to my serious mood."What were you saying again?"

Her eyes wandered off to a dream world. "Oh - I've always dreamed of working with HYBE. Their groups are amazing, aren't they ?! Do you think we'll get to meet their idols?"

I sighed while she rambled about their groups and music.
"Maybe." My tone grew serious enough. "Now, tell me what's the main lawsuit against them about?"

She stabled herself quickly as she flipped some more pages with her expert hands.
"Yes. YG, another one of the big three entertainment of this country, filed a lawsuit against HYBE. The accusations were plagiarism and mistreating their Idols. Public is currently going crazy based on this accusation, since there were some disturbing clips from HYBE dorm, which were leaked."

"On social media?"

"Yes. It has currently gone viral - that's what it's saying. HYBE is refusing these accusations and trying to find someone to prove them right from their side."

Me and Yeji both looked up from our documents and looked at each other.

"You're taking this case?" She asked.

I've already set up my mind.
I trained there.
And now it's time for me to return their favour.

"Yes. We're taking this one."

She beamed with hidden excitement. "I'll send them an e - mail soon and discuss about your next and first meeting."

"Okay." I pushed away the other files and grabbed my laptop. I logged into one of my anonymous accounts and tapped on the search bar.

What has been going on in these four year I was absent...?

"Time for some research about them."
