We sat on the rooftop of Oya High. This is where all of them chat and eat expired noodles. There were a few benches here and there. But basically, you could sit anywhere. On the table, on the tires, on the floor. It didn't matter. Hygiene here was not a priority.

I carefully picked a clean bench for myself. Surprisingly, Yuken sat beside me. He kept glancing at me. It wasn't one of those nervous glances. He seemed confident. It was almost as if he was keeping a check on my every movement.

"I feel like I've seen you before." He finally spat out.

I paused as I felt a jolt on my spine. No way he has seen me stalking Sachio. It's not possible.

"It is possible. I come to Oya High often." I shrugged.

Keep up the good acting, Mai. You will win an Oscar for sure.

Yuken nodded. I could feel Sachio's eyes on us from my right.

This felt unreal. The Sachio Ueda was looking at me. It wasn't the normal type of looking. He was scrutinizing me. He was thinking why someone as popular as Fujio was my friend. I didn't even deserve to breathe the same air as them.

"Fujio never told us about his girlfriend. I was wondering if you could tell us about yourself." Yuken leaned back, adjusting his specs.

Suddenly, the environment started feeling more comfortable. It was because of Yuken. Like I said, the way he talks and acts just charms you. I decided to relax myself. It's all good unless Sachio starts talking to me, right?

"Firstly, he's not my boyfriend." I crossed my legs on the bench. "Secondly, I am not an interesting person to talk about."

"We aren't interesting either. Do you think I'm interesting?" Yuken raised his eyebrows.

I raised mine too. "Yes." He was fishing for compliments. That's a very Yuken thing to do.

Soon, Fujio came with some containers and gave each of us one.

"Fried chicken? Are you for real?" I scowled as I opened the box. "I am on a diet."

"A few pieces won't hurt." Fujio forced himself in between me and Yuken as he fit a big chicken leg into his mouth.

"I'm not eating this." I placed the container on his lap and got up with my groceries.

I had to leave. All this while, I was able to keep my composure and nobody noticed anything. What if I erupt all of a sudden?

But how could I leave? Fujio literally begged me to be here.

Fujio looked at me with a mouth full and eyebrows scrunched. He knows me well and he knows the type of person I am. He knew I would create a bigger scene if he forced me to eat these. He gave a nod and kept eating his parts.

Suddenly, Sachio took the box from Fujio's lap and threw it at me. Luckily, I caught it despite being in a total shock from Sachio's sudden act.

"Eat it. Be grateful you have a friend like Fujio. Many people don't even get to eat in this world." He said, leaning back into his chair.

I gaped at him. I had almost forgotten what a self righteous man he is. He was trying to make me feel guilty. Well, it's definitely not the first time someone's done that to me. Sometimes I wondered if people actually saw me from my point of view. I was nothing trying to be something. I wanted to be thin and pretty. I wanted to fit in.

I've always had this revengeful complexity in me. I didn't care whether it was a random person, the ones I cared about or my crush. I wanted to scream at him. I wanted to make him feel guilty instead.
