A Visit

***Caroline P.o.V.***

"Hello Gorgeous!" I hear Enzo's voice and sit up. 

"Now what are you doing here?" I ask him, a little exhausted. 

"Trust me I have no wish for ruining your fake happy reunion with Stefan" He smirks and continues, "Lily and the heretics saw Bonnie coming back to Mystic falls and they suspect she, Damon and Alaric are up to something"  

"Bonnie in Mystic Falls? What are you talking about?" I ask puzzled, "And why do you care anyway? You joined their 'family', You chose them over us!" 

"Well you seem to have a lot of questions for me, let's sit down, shall we?" He says in his usual mocking tone.

I keep standing. I don't take kindly to friends walking out on me anymore.

Enzo rolls up his eyes and replies, "Look Caroline, Yes I did go over to them, It's not like anyone missed me here anyway-"

"How can you say that Enzo!" I exclaim, Indignant. "How could you do this to Damon? And I thought we had become friends too!"

"I did go over but I have been keeping an eye on them. They know Damon has called Bonnie to plot against them and they are planning to take Damon down before he can put anything in action!" Enzo states.

I stand speechless. What is everyone up to!

"I'll go back home tomorrow and see what's going on" I say eventually.

Enzo nods. For a moment it looks like he wants to say something but then he smiles.

"As much as I loved having our little chat, I need to get going before they start missing me" he says. He gets to the door and looks back at me. I nod, and he is out of the room in the blink of an eye.

I feel completely worn out with the rehearsals, the show and all the worrying.

Where is Stefan anyway? He should be back by now.

I lie down on my bed again and close my eyes.

I wake up with a start at the noise of rain thumping against my window pane.

I rub my eyes and look up to check the time in the table clock.

1:30 A.M.

What! I look around, no sign of Stefan. Where is he? 

I take out my mobile and dial his number. It is not reachable.

I call Damon. 
It rings for a while before he picks up.

"I told you blondie I'll tell you everything, couldn't this conversation wait till morning?" 

"Damon, did Stefan come back home?" 

"What! I told you specifically to keep him out of town till tomorrow! You sent him back!"

"No! He had gone to pick up dinner for us, it has been long and he has still not returned! I am not able to contact him either"

"What?!!"

"Damon I know Bonnie is there, ask her to do a tracking spell on him and see if you can find his whereabouts. In the meanwhile I'll go check at the restaurant and in the Campus."

"How do you know-"

"I'll tell you later"

I drop the call and head out to look for Stefan. Where could he have gone?
