Chapter Fifteen
Her body wouldn't stop shivering as she fearfully walked down the corridor. She didn't want anybody to see her. Not today. Her body and mind couldn't take it.
It was her mother's death anniversary and her body was battered enough.
She didn't want to deal with any of this anymore.
She was about to walk outside when she heard two people speaking quietly.
Vanessa hesitated for a moment as she knew her life was legitimately on the line if she was caught eavesdropping as they would beat her up and treat her like crap.
As she peeked through the window of the empty classroom she almost gasped.
Emerson and Fiona. They had gotten much closer over the past few weeks and everyone here had started to idolise them. Even Emerson idolised her and almsot everyone could see it.
A tear slipped out of Vanessa's eye as she heard them speak.
"You're genuinely the most beautiful girl in the world." Emerson stated as he brushed back a lock of curly golden hair from her forehead.
Fiona blushed and giggled.
"Thanks and you're handsome too." She shyly stated back as he laughed and brought their lips together.
Vanessa left unable to watch the sight as she tried to hurry away as tears clouded her vision.
He never told her that. Never.
She was so desperate and pathetic. He kept breaking her. Over and over.
She went near the alley to catch her breath for a moment until someone grabbed her and pushed her to the wall. Another person laughed as she tried to push the hands away.
"Don't worry baby, I still want you." Gavin's voice said as he pulled her skirt down while another boy held her hands behind her.
"No no stop! Someone hel —" Gavin slapped his palm on her mouth and pulled his dick out of his pants quickly.
He shoved his fingers into her center making her cry out in pain as she struggled to get out of his grasp.
Vanessa noticed someone come around the corner and started screaming even though her voice was muffled because of Gavin's hand.
Emerson rounded the corner and stopped at the sight. He cocked his head and watched as Vanessa's eyes pleaded him for help.
He cocked his head and looked at her for a moment.
"Gettin a taste of your own medicine." Was all he said as he walked away as the boys noticed and hooted.
Vanessa went blank and she swore that was the day she truly wanted to die.
There was nothing there anymore.
Gavin was about to put his dick in her until the sound of sirens suddenly started blaring loudly startling the two boys who were holding her.
They let go of her and sped out of there immediately with curses.
She slid down to the ground and smiled.
So this was how it felt. To be absolutely nothing. To feel so dead.
There was no relief. She just wanted to not exist. She was so far on the edge she knew was about to fall. One little push and she'd go. She wanted to.
This was what Elena had felt when she had walked away from her.

There was an unknown girl in her room but she barely blinked at the sight. The girl twirled her knives in the air and took Vanessa in with a grimace. Her complete body was battered and bruised.
"God, you look terrible."
"Out." Vanessa whispered.
"I'm Tara Murphy. You're going to be seeing a lot more of me and my brother so get used to it." Tara stated as she tucked her knife into her holster and watched Vanessa breathe heavily.
"Out!" Vanessa screamed losing her temper as she glared cruelly at the girl.
"Good. We can use that anger. Instead of directing it at me, direct it at them."
Vanessa irritatedly looked at Tara. "Okay Tara, why are you in my room."
Tara smiled softly with dark eyes as she knowingly spoke, "That old man downstairs is my grandfather. He will never tell you this himself but I'm here because you have nobody else to talk to and you seriously look like you need someone really bad."
"I don't need shit." Vanessa sneered until her face dropped and she sighed." Did he really tell you that?"
"Eh more like he told me that you were whining about your problems to him and he didn't care to hear it but I know my grandpops and that basically meant that he felt bad and wanted you to have a friend."
"I don't have friends anymore." Vanessa monotonously stated.
"Thats gonna be a problem, Turan and I are going to be stuck with you in the future so let's start with me fixing your fucked up body." Tara said as she grabbed the first aid kit next to Vanessa's bed.
Tara was used to the horrors that the mob dealt with so she barely flinched at the sight of some of Vanessa's gruesome wounds.
"Your ribs are broken."
"It's fine." Vanessa whispered.
"I'm going to the family gathering tomorrow that your classmates are having after graduation."
"Why are you telling me that?"
"I don't know." Tara stated.
They quietly sat together comfortably though they had nothing to talk about.
Finn sat on the couch downstairs as he read through another book.
Vanessa was becoming the girl that she was always meant to be.
Everything that was happening to her would only make her tougher. He knew that one day she would show them all. She just didn't know it yet.
She would become the heir to Sean O'Sullivan's legacy and when that happened, nobody would be able to ever touch her again.
