Lulama's POV...
Tonight was great. I met some of London's new friends and they're awesome people. We played Monopoly and drank beer.
"What are you doing?" I asked Skylar once we were alone in the living room.
"What do you mean?" She asked sheepishly.
"You look at her like she's a juicy piece of meat. Though I can't tell if it's love or lust."
"It's neither. Baby I look at everybody like that." She said.
"Oh please." I said rolling my eyes.
"You're reading way too much into it. It's because I'm hungry." I said with a smirk. I shook my head lightly. Kevin came back with a six pack of ciders and a bowl of popcorn followed by Mason. Then later Paris and London walked in with a ouija board.
"Hell no!" I exclaimed before yanking the board off London's hands.
"What?" She asked.
"I don't mess with this kind if thing. If you play I'm leaving."
"Come on El, it's just a silly board game." Mason said pulling me closer to him. "Just one game?"
"No no NO." They all groaned at my obstinacy.
"I'm not trying to die here tonight." I explained. "We all know if shit goes down my black ass is dying first. I'm paving no way to hell." I got up, put on my jacket and made my way to the door.
"Lulama." London called.
"No London. Imagine dying because of a stupid ghost game. See ya."
"Man your girl is scared of a ouija board." I heard Kevin say to Mason before closing the door behind me and walking out. I called a cab which thankfully arrived in less than three minutes. I got in and it drove off to my house. I got off and paid as soon as it arrived at mine. I got in the house and went straight to my room.
"A ouija board? They're crazy." I muttered to myself before dozing off.
I woke up the next morning, hopped in the shower and went downstairs to get breakfast. My mom was making lunch for my sister who was sitting on the bar stool eating.
"Goodmorning sweetheart." Mom greeted.
"Morning mom." I replied taking a seat next to Miya. "Hey you."
"Hey."
"Have you ended it with Malakai?" I asked.
"No. And I'm not going to." Miya said firmly.
"Bitch what?"
"It's my life." Unbelievable.
"When are you going to tell London you're fucking her boyfriend?"
"Ex‐boyfriend. They broke up." She said nonchalantly.
"Yeah, because of you bitch."
"Lulama, leave your sister alone." Mom said firmly.
"No mom. She needs to break up with Malakai."
"No. You don't tell me what to do." Miya countered in a level tone.
"London is heartbroken because of you. Yeah she puts on a brave face and acts like everything is just sunshine and rainbows but I know her. She's not okay Mom."
"That's life honey, she'll get over it. You win some and you lose some, ain't that right sweetie?" She said to Miya who smirked at me.
"You are condoning this disgusting behavior? Mom." I threw my hands up in disbelief.
