We made our way to grab Zoey's notes. Once we had them, we made our way out to the forest outside of Phoenix Drop's walls.

"Aaron?" I called.

"Yes?"

"What will you want her know? After you pass?" I asked him, all too grim. "Although I support you protecting her like this... Since her power is not strong enough to make the connection... She still will hate yoou did this. She might even hate me for this. So what do you want her to know?"

"That I love her. That I knew she would not survive this, and I couldn't bare to watch her die from it. I want her to know that I will always be there to watch over her. Remind her that she needs her guard, and this sacrifice was worth it to see her overcome what all is about to happen," he explained.

"Its noble, really. Once you pass... You will likely find yourself in a dimension with a large cottage, and fields, and gardens. It will be a peaceful place. Once with a giant Yggdrasil tree, and Aphmau's old dogs runnin about. There will be a man with emerald eyes.. Tell him who you are. Tell him you knew me and my sister. He'll help you to a better life," I explained.

"How do you know-?"

"Because people I care for, they end up certain places," I explained.

He nodded. I guided him through the procedure, and omce he got the feel for it, I stepped back a ways, to brace myself for the blast. I smiled at him, and waved.

"I'll see you on the other side. Thank you Aaron, for everything you've done for us. I wish I could've seen how good of a man you were sooner," I said.

He smiled back at me, and I watched as he placed the fragment to the center of the portal, and released his energy into it. The portal opened and he went through. Before I could second guess myself, I ran in. Aaron and Zane's swords clashed and I ran to Garroth, pulling him back through the portal and as far as I could get him before the blast. I tripped over and Garroth and I landed on the ground. Aaron stood there with Zane in his grip as the orb broke and an explosion went off. The blast was loud and bright, and it left a crater in its wake. Garroth took a large brunt of the blast as he was on top of me when it hit us. I looked up at his dusted face and smiled. I grabbed onto him, pulling him close to me, and huggin him tight. He was scattered in injuries, but at this moment, I just wanted to hold him.

"Garroth! You're back!" I said as tears ran down my cheeks.

Its had been nearly 16 years... but it was finally over. Everyone was finally home.

Aphmau ran up behind me and I got myself and Garroth up to greet her. I saw Aaron's bandana and sword, and I picked it up. They hugged and Aphmau looked around.

"Garroth, how in the name of Irene did you get out of there?" She asked.

I came up towards her.

"Aph, we need to talk," I said.

"What do you mean? What happened?" She asked.

I handed the bandana and sword.

"What... this is..." she said.

I pulled her close as she started to cry.

"Aphmau, I'm sorry," I said, taking her back to her old home and sitting her down.

She sat there emptily. Like she was a ghost of herself.

"Aph," I called.

She looked over to me.

"How were you there before we were?" She asked.

I took in a deep breath, "I found him last night, when he had taken the fragment. I followed him, becuase I was unaware of what it was doing... When he realized I had been following him, he told me of his plans. There was no arguing with him. He had set his mind to it."

She sniffled, her eyes already very puffy.

"He wanted me to tell you a few things. He wanted me to tell you that he loved you. That he knew you would not survive this, and that he couldn't bare to watch you die from it. He wanted you to know that he will always be there to watch over you. That I should remind you that you need your guard, and this sacrifice was worth it to see you overcome what all is about to happen," I explained. "I know that it is hard. And I know it hurts to watch the one you love disappear forever. But he did it for noble reasons. He did it to protect you, even if it feels like he hurt you more because of it."

"Why wouldn't you stop him... Anyone with a right mind would have stopped him..." she questioned.

"Becuase I love you just as much as he does. And I understood why he wanted to protect you," I explained.

"Can you leave me be? I don't want to see you right now," she said.

I nodded. Though it stang, I left. Because letting her process was what she needed. I would be there for her every moment waiting for her to need me. I wouldn't let the same mistakes happen. I wouldn't let her just push me away. When I came outside, Vylad stood there. He opened his arms and I rushed into them. Tears streaked my cheeks and I gripped onto him.

"She will forgive you. She'll understand. Just give her some time," he explained.

"I know. I know. I just-"

"I know," he said, petting my hair into place.

We stood there for a while. Until I looked out over Vlyad's shoulder and saw the sun start to set.

"Vylad. Take me home, please," I begged. "I don't think anyone will want to see me."

He nodded, and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. He guided me back to the house, and laid me down to bed. He went towards the door to stand watch over me.

"Vylad, I know we've been going through some things, but can you... can you just lay with me?" I said. "I don't want to feel alone."

Vylad curled up into the bed in front of me. He raised an arm and I scooted into him. Letting him wrap his arm around me and hold me as I tried to sleep.
