The sunlight filtering through the blinds was already painting the room in a warm glow, but Steff was still fast asleep, his face peaceful and serene. I watched him for a moment I loved the way his hair cascaded over the pillow, the way his eyelashes fluttered gently as he breathed.

"Steff," I whispered. "Wake up, sleepyhead. Church starts in an hour."

Steff stirred, his eyes fluttering open. He blinked a few times, his gaze meeting mine. A sleepy smile spread across his face.

"Good morning," he murmured, his voice still thick with sleep.

"Good morning," I replied, my smile widening. "I made breakfast. Get up and wash up, we have somewhere to go after church."

Steff yawned, stretching his arms above his head. "Okay, okay," he said, his voice laced with a hint of playful defiance. "I'm up, I'm up."

He sat up in bed, his eyes still half-closed. I watched him, my heart swelling with a warmth I couldn't quite explain. I loved the way he looked in the morning, his hair tousled, his eyes still sleepy. I loved the way he moved, the way he laughed, the way he made me feel...alive.

"I'll be waiting downstairs," I said, my voice soft. "Take your time."

I stood up and walked out of the room, leaving Steff to his morning routine. As I closed the door behind me, I couldn't help but smile.

Same as usual, after we ate and fed our cute little steffy, we went to the church. Steff and I sat side-by-side, our hands clasped together as we listened to the pastor's sermon. It was a familiar routine, one we shared every Sunday morning. A quiet moment of peace and reflection before the busyness of the week began.

I found myself drifting off, lost in my own thoughts. I couldn't help but think about the past few days, the unexpected adventures I had shared with Steff. The Ferris wheel ride, the laughter, the shared moments of vulnerability...they had all left an indelible mark on my heart. I wondered, if Steff hadn't been in my life, would I still be stuck in that monotonous routine, feeling lost and unfulfilled? Would I ever have found the courage to break free from my comfort zone and embrace the unknown?

Steff squeezed my hand gently, bringing me back to the present. He smiled at me, his eyes filled with an unspoken warmth. I returned his smile, a sense of contentment washing over me.

After the service, we walked out of the church together, our footsteps echoing on the quiet street.

"I'm glad we came," I said, my voice soft as I looked at him.

With a smile on his face, he nodded, and answered. "Me too."

We walked in comfortable silence for a few moments, enjoying the peacefulness of the morning. Soon, we reached my car, parked on the street.

"Ready for a little adventure?" I asked, my eyes twinkling with mischief.

"Always," he replied, a smile spreading across his face.

As we pulled out of the parking lot, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. I had a surprise planned for Steff, a picnic on the beach. I wanted to take him somewhere special, somewhere we could just relax and enjoy each other's company. But I wasn't going to tell him what I had in mind just yet. I wanted to see the look on his face when he saw the beach, the way the sun would glisten on the water, the way the sand would feel between his toes. I wanted to see his reaction to the surprise I had planned.
